Election 08 - Real Candidates:

Not to diss on anyone's choice but face the facts. The likely candidates from the presidency will be either Obama/Clinton and Rommey/Mc

So if you have to vote for a mainstream candidate which one would you choice and why?

And please don't just say you object and won't vote at all. Not voting doesn't help the country.

What do you say to an atheist who sneezes?

Depending on the order...

If it's Obama vs. Romney I'm still on the fence.
If it's Obama vs. McCain I pick Obama.
If it's Clinton vs. Romney I pick Romney.
If it's Clinton vs. McCain I'm not voting. Picking either doesn't help the country anymore than me not voting.

What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?

I don't have to vote for any "mainstream" candidate and I'm really sick of you people who seem to insist there are only two political parties in this country!

There are numerous other national parties to choose from.

You people? You mean like your boy, Ron Paul, who is currently STILL seeking the Republican nomination?

Actually, no. I wasn't referring to Ron Paul. TRY READING THE WORDS instead of reading into the words!

Well then THE WORDS you wrote are contradictory since the person you've continually championed has opted to join one of the two parties rather than a third and flat out state he will not run as an independent or otherwise. Better luck next time.

The OP asked IF you had to choose a mainstream candidate which one would you choose. That leaves open the possibility of voting for fringe candidates in the actual election, but for the purposes of this debate the OP asks for a mainstream choice. If you want the fringe candidates included, start your own thread.

Fascinating news, but irrelevant to the discussion at hand.

I won't vote for Clinton under any circumstances, so it's whoever is against the stupid bitch for me. I might be able to bring myself to vote Obama, he's the only Democrat I can semi-stomach at the moment. McCain and Romney... blah. They might be better than the alternatives and they're both better than Billary, but neither one would make me run out and vote, except to defeat Clinton.

Jesus loves me? No thanks, I don't swing that way.

I want Romney v Obama
Here are my reasons:
Why to vote for Romney!

Obama, because he is the best of the weak Democratic side. I could stomach him better than Edward or Clinton
