| Molten Ash Posts: 77 | Is Osama winning the war? If his objective was to bring down the western world and collapse years of US prosperity..... Asian markets continue plunge - CNN.com U.S. National Debt Clock ^America is loosing money at an enormous rate and if America falls so does the rest of the world. China, Canada, EU and every major capital needs America. You guys are like a fat elephant on the tight rope.....and every other state is just another skinny guy tied to the elephant....if one of the guys goes down they may stumble and pull him back up to the rest of the line or cut him loose....but If America's economy falls everyone else gets dragged down .... If America enters a second depression it will because of one single attack by Osama... |

We spent too much supporting a single aspect of our infrastructure while neglecting those that would have contributed to monetary stability. By allowing ourselves to be distracted from attending to the needs of our country, we've done more damage than the terrorists. In my opinion Osama is already dead, and the current dip in the economy is simply another recession. Certainly not a good thing but I don't think its a direct result of any terrorist attack. ![]() haha, charade you are Location: Earth Posts: 34 | Well before Osama was blamed (or took blame), before Bush won (or stole), before Iraq was liberated (or viciously attacked, taken over, and forced to listen) economics didn't seem to be too much of a problem. But then The war happened. The war that has been blamed on Osama. There were and still are billions of dollars of our money being pushed into the war. I don't understand how anyone can think that the war doesn't have an effect on our recession. I understand that stocks rise and fall, depressions and recessions happen. As far as I'm concerned Osama is dead, and died with a smile. His attack (or the attack that he was blamed for) caused the world to split in two. It caused a war between democracy and the radicals against democracy. It created a money pit where billions of dollars have been spent (and disappeared). His war started 7 years ago, and there is no end in sight. The presidential candidates speak of taking our troops out, but that is only a false sense of security. The Jihad was successful and continues to be successful. The world has always been split in sections, but now it has been split between democracy and anti-democracy. The cracks existed but weren't as violent as they are now. Osama himself isn't winning... But his ideas and his war still lives on. So, No. |
