Why to vote for Romney!

Newsmax.com - Romney Is the Real Deal

(1) He is the businessman/economic candidate:
Running a country is similar (with some obvious difference to running a corporation). No candidate even comes close to understanding the business world or economy as Romney does. Ask yourself if you were the majority shareholder in a corp, which of these candidates would you vote for CEO?
(a) Bain Capital:
Romney's sttart up venture capital company. He started in from ground up and now its a $40 billion company.During the 14 years he headed the company, Bain Capital's average annual internal rate of return on realized investments was 113 percent That takes strong leadership, great understanding of the economy and business world, hard-work, great organization and extreme intelligence.
(b) Bain & Companu
This was a company that Romney was CEO of before we started up Bain Capital. While he was CEO, Bain & Co saw double digit growth. When he left it slowly went down the tubes. He came back to help them out of the fuke and within a year he got it turned around into the black!
Quote:
In 1990, Romney was asked to return to Bain & Company, which was facing financial collapse. As CEO, Romney managed an effort to restructure the firm's employee stock-ownership plan, real-estate deals and bank loans, while increasing fiscal transparency. Within a year, he had led Bain & Company through a highly successful turnaround and returned the firm to profitability without layoffs or partner defections
Mister PowerPoint Goes to Washington — The American, A Magazine of Ideas
(c) Staples:
He identified Staples before it opened as a corporation to invest in. He made a killing off another great investment

(2) '02 Olympics:
He took it over after the prior corrupt and ineffective organizer was release. Mitt came into a $397 million budget shortfall mess. They just wanted to break even. Nevertheless, like everything Mitt turned it around to a major profot of $56 million.

(3) Reversed the $3 billion MA deficit without raising taxes!
Don't shrug this off. This is amazing accomplishment. This is exactly what the next President will have to do.

(4) Established the first and only private universal healthcare program for MA!
As MA governor he created the only UHC program for a state, in which many other states are starting to model after. Healthcare will be a big issue and he has solved it for at least a state.

(5) Never pardoned or communted any criminals as governor!
He rightful choose to let the courts do this.

(6) Great character.
(a) The media can't find any dirt on him, unlike they find on Guiliani, Obama and Clinton. And you know they are digging.
(b) See his children: ---> none appear to be spoiled brats like the over-previlege hollywood children. To the contrary they all seem to be well-managed, highly ethical, harworking and respectable individual. Also the media can't find dirt on them either. Ask Al Gore about his great children. Raising numerous well-balance children speaks volumes about the parents.
(c) Here is a great story on him:
Quote:
July 1996 that the 14-year-old daughter of one of his partners had been missing in New York for three days, Romney closed down Bain Capital and asked its 30 partners and employees to fly to New York to try to find her. The girl had gone to a rave party and taken ecstasy.

“I don’t care how long it takes, we’re going to find her,” Romney told the girl’s father Robert Gay.

As a result of a massive campaign orchestrated by Romney, he was able to locate and rescue the girl when she was within a day of dying from the effects of an overdose.
(7) A extreme hard-worker:
Look at how hard he is campaigning and his business achievements!

(8) Shown a strong ability to work with adverse parties, more specifically the Democrats and ultra-liberals:
As a Republican, working with Ted Kennedy and in a liberal Democratic State is a tough and fustrating task. Yet Mitt was able to effectly accomplish the task and solve many problems in MA.

(9) The One-strike your our's campaign against Child Molesters and Child Sex offenders:

Meaning he supports Jessica's Law, Strict mandatory jail sentences and lifetime GPS devices placed on these mental ill people.

(10) Believes in Global Warming and will do things to combat it.
McCain stated it best, "If we take measures to combat global warming and it turns out to be false, then at least we have a cleaner environment, but if we choose to do nothing and global warming turns out to be true, then we doomed our children and our children's children."
Mitt is a blind denier and will combat it.

(11) Against the highly unconstitutional Fairness Doctrine
This is a facist doctrine that no America should support.

(12) Supports stem cell research.
He doesn't believe the Federal government should put money into it, but he doesn't think the government should prohibit it either.

He also supports placing surplus money in the social security system into personal accounts, in order to actually begin the reform. This will provide retirement for current generations without increasing taxes or the retirement age.

Yep something needs to be done with social security. However, getting rid of it (aka Radical Paul) or keeping status quo (the Democrats) is not the way.

NH huh? Who did you vote for last night?

I actually voted Romney. However, I'm more disappointed that Hillary won the democratic primary in NH. Shedding tears on television may have won her some unsure women votes.

The 3 top runners for the Democrats (Clinton, Obama and Edwards) are basically pick your poison. I would say Edwards is by far the worst and it is had to choose between Obama and Clinton who sucks more.

I like Romney has a plan and he has the record to prove it, unlike Huckabee, Obama, Thompson, McCain (his record shows he is weak in many areas, such as immigration) and Edwards. The Mayor actually has a nice record also.

A monster? lol So dramatic. Looks like a set up trying to happen to me. He did the right thing by moving away from a left or right wing creep just trying to make a name for himself. They guy was an obvious fake.

Hes avoiding the fact that his War on Drugs policy is incredibly flawed.

Seriously if you cant tell a man in a wheel chair that your policy will put hospital patients in prisons. Honestly, what does that say about your integrity?

And yea the guy is a monster because he actually has the possibility of making decisions that can destroy people's lives.

He's to disconnected from the rest of the world and America needs somebody somewhat in tune with Americans and the rest of the world

That's part of the problem, yes. It's oretty revealing when our government is unwilling to have a drug policy regarding drugs it doens't like. Instead, it has a "drug war" policy. They don't want to consider drugs and drug use in any way that's not warlike. However, if they really want to put an end to the gang warfare over drugs (or at least approximate doing so), they will legalize them and provide more treatment for people who want to quit.

That's how things should be done in the
modern world. We should know hype and prisons aren't going to solve everything.

I have to say that this was a huge point of contention for me on Romney. I provide my mother some weed when she was on chemo. She tried all the legal crap that they provided and none worked. Pot was a miracle care for her. It nausea went away, she actually ate, even laughed and had energy. It was a miracle cure!

Negative point for Romney, but I still support him, since illegal weed is so easy to get anyways!

I agree ending the war on drugs would solve so many problems not just in America, but across Latin America!

who would Jesus bomb

some excellent points, but i have got a few more...
i wouldn't call him a monster; i would call him the same junk thats been in Washington for so long. Why do you think so many candidates are running on change?
he is overly aggressive, a war monger.
like it or not, we cant win a war against the world...
drugs are not ok, but i think we should concentrate on fixing our schools and not worry (yet) about south america's drug problems until everything at home is running like clockwork. we've got too many problems here to be worried about something that doesnt really effect us.
we need to get someone who is going to do something other than bomb people.

You do realize if Romney was President your mom would be in jail right?

My mom was a breast cancer patient but she didnt resort to marijuana even though we live in BC where Pot is known to be one of the main exports apparently....lol ive never touched the stuff but cops here even prefer to arrest drunks instead of stoners just because....how many people have died from overdosing on pot?

0

How many deaths from smoking and Alcohol?
And whose more likely to cause public disturbance? Drunks or Stoners

Romney isnt very bright when it comes to grassroots social issues...just look at him...hes from the part of America that represents the rich who live in gated communities and are isolated (socially) from the needs of the common people.

Exactly...whose more of a threat to society? the stoner or the child molester?

Drug Users arent a threat...Drug abusers or substance abusers are...

Prisons are overcrowded in the states and Sexual offenders are being let out early because of the zero tolerance policy enforced by the War on Drugs mentality. This is a joke....

And this is just one issue why Romney pisses me off .....

Seeing how she smoked when it was illegal and she didn't get arrested, but I see you point and it is troubling. It makes me think the Romney very out of touch with society when he takes such a strong stance on such moronic issues.

True, but he put in place. Marginal success is still better than the horrible success that most healthcare have. The private UHC system is what I like.

Come on we all do this. You go to the landscaping service (owners are Americans), but they hire the employees. You don't check the green cards of another businesses employees. But if this is the only dirt they can get on him, then he is looking good.

He still had to governor for those 2 years and they is when he got the private UHC system enacted. He also did a lot in his 2 years.

I wasn't aware of this! Do you have a source? This would be disheartening and another thing that goes against what he says he is going to do!

Wow, welcome to 2003 talking points. Didn't you get the memo? Stem cell research is obsolete since they can essentially reverse-engineer the research from mature cells.

Oops, did I ruin a liberal talking point? My bad.
