NH: Jailed in Defense of the Constitution

YouTube - NH: Jailed in Defense of the Constitution, Part 1A

Would welcome Volco-feedback on this video-illustrated version of my civil disobedience story. I was jailed earlier this year for handing respectful leaflets to IRS workers, then refusing to pay the Federal "distribution of handbills" fine...a penalty which violates Amendments One and Ten. But I was not alone even then!

Now, Ron Paul has advocated civil disobedience...and he has millions of supporters. I wonder if some of them will step forward with civil disobedience of their own?

If you don't want to pay taxes, just don't file. I don't understand what the point is to be made by incorporating the pitchfork, except to be arrested and garner sympathy for an agenda. You expect someone to take you seriously with a straw hat and overalls? That's just insane behavior. You wonder why Freestaters, tax protestors, or Ron Paul supporter get labeled as "loonies", well now you've just show us why. You might as well have been holding up a sign that said "You Go Jim Crow". Straw hats, pitchforks, and overalls, come on already man. You have to beat the system from within. Next time, leave the costume and gimicks at home.

I'd like to thank Charlie Hodge, bringing me scarves and water.

Agreed. I advocate for lower taxes and a radical reform of the entire system, but the best way to do that is to behave in a way that people will respect what you have to say. Think Barack Obama vs. Al Sharpton (not a perfect analogy, but you see the point).

I mean, as a tax "protester", I'm going to think you're silly as soon as you open your mouth, but with behavior like that you'll never even get the chance. No offense, of course.

Solicitors should not be allowed to disrupt ANY workplace whenever they feel like it. It doesn't matter if it's a bank, an abortion clinic, a barbershop, or an IRS office.

You forgot to tell us about the looney costume and trying to bring a pitchfork into a building.

Unless it's Halloween, or you're at a Farm and Tractor supply company, there is no need to have a pitchfork in public. Looks like the Martyr of Keene was released after 3 weeks. Still accepting donations? Why show this video if not for any other reason.

He shouldn't be offended, because he obviously wanted to be arrested for publicity. "Redress of grievance" or "Post No Bills" I say bullshit DaDaOrwell. Why doesn't the government want you to have leaflets? What did these "feared leaflets" say? Those things were not talked about at all. But awe shucks jethro, plug that website one more time, and where to donate. Yeeehaaaaw! Plug for the newspaper, plug the activist group, plug the website once more. That was the entire point.

Not to mention he probably annoyed the security guards just a little bit by trying to bring a full-size pitchfork into a secured federal building...

I disagree on the abortion clinic.

So, you're saying it is okay to enter an abortion clinic with a pitchfork?
