| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 8,663 | On the topic of being pro-environment Joe Biden got highest pro-environmental rating. But he is not a frontrunner canadate. Hilliary Clinton scored 89% for being pro-environmental. John Ewards rated 37% pro environmental. Obama not rated due to lack of a stand on topic - he does advocate preserving national parks. Hucklebee - claims to be pro-environmental - not rated as having a pro-enviromental stand. Rudy - no stand on environmental topics. Ron Paul - 5% rating on environment - but low rating marks him as an anti-environmental canidate based on his voting record. McCain - 53% rating as pro-environmental. Tompson got no rating for being pro-environmental as he is a anti-environmental canidate. Romney got no rating as a pro-environmental canidate. I did not list canadates that are not expected to be nominated (unless so noted). Therefore the best Republican choice is McCain. And the best Democratic choice is Clinton (unless Biden became a stronger Canidate worthy of concideration). |

| Sedimentary Rock Posts: 13 | If you watched Mike Huckabees speach at the NRA would would learn that he is an avid hunter. During his speach he expressed his ideas on conserving parks. He also said he wishes that every youngster in the United States should be within a bike ride of a fishing hole. Id say he is probably the best Republican environmental candidate. As for a democrat if you buy into Global Warming I guess you would have to vote for Hillary. |

Going on a hunting or fishing tripe is not really about bagging food (that you could get with ease at the store ) but, for many, it is the whole experience of being in nature, camping, roughing it, taking in the freshness of it. And being in a woods, away from man-made structures and so forth, kind of connects us again to those pioneering days, back when our country was founded. To get that Davy Crocket experience - if you know what I mean? The wilderness is not just for tree-huggers. It can also be a place for fathers and sons to bond, what we once called the "rite of passage" from childhood to manhood. When you get your first chance to use a gun, or even a pocket knife for that matter. Nothing like the taste of fresh fish cooked on that campfire when you are out their in the wilderness. And the memories are priceless. For that family picnic or family vacation trip. seeing a deer wondering in a field, photography a waterfall. | |
