What can I say? Boy, America and Americans are sure safer now that we had this war, that was over more than a year ago. Thanks Bush.

Like one poster said in another thread, you Bush haters can make the link between Catepillar Bulldozer company and terrorists but you sure can't make the link between Al Queda and Iraq. Everything is Americas fault, such a compassionate lot.

Did I say that? Doesn't look like it after re-reading my post. Must not have been directed at me. Truth, you should address your posts to someone if you are answering them directly.

I did address you with the same ad hominem and OPINION of your attitude towards America that you do of others, particularly the death of that man. Why can't you just be respectful and lose the propaganda? Did Bush stab him in the eye, tear his head off? Strawman anyone?

ARE YOU SAYING I AM NOT FEELING REMORSE OVER THIS MANS DEATH? WRONG, it is sad, humiliating, and truly a crime against humanity that a person should suffer such a death. I despise killing, and especially killing of civillians, or those who can't defend themselves.

Are you judging me, because I thanked BUSH for starting this war? He did you know, start this war? He is the one that acted against the U.N. in launching this "coalition of the willing", that he bolstered with the great speech about "being with us, or against us".

I am a proud, no, make that outspokenly proud to be an American. I am ashamed to be a part of TODAYS America, however, as it is rather un-American.

I posted what I did, because if you dig back into the previous threads about Berg, I said there would be many more, like him, and worse. I was making a point, as was the person posting this thread. I am sorry you disagree, but keep the labelmaker to yourself, and stick them on your own forehead, thanks.

you might be confusing iraqi insurgents with al qaeda terrorists. i don't recall ever hearing a case where al qaeda members let someone go. but if you're correct, could you show me an example?

No, we need to stay alert. The war is not over. I don't know if you are aware but Afganistan was considered just a battle. So was Iraq.

Terrorists tend to attack the weak link. Don't become that link by assuming you are safe and taking risks.

Let's ask the guy in charge...

Quote:

"There are days when our fellow citizens do not hear news about the war on terror. There's never a day when I do not learn of another threat, or receive reports of operations in progress, or give an order in this global war against a scattered network of killers. The war goes on, and we are winning."
-- Bush State of the Union Jan 28 2003

or how about this:

Quote:

Iraq is the site of "a continuing battle in the war on terror," President Bush said August 22, calling the confrontation there one "of the major battles of the first war of the 21st century."
-- Office of the Public Affairs in Islamabad home page on Aug 25, 2003

or how about this:

Quote:

"As we gather tonight, hundreds of thousands of American servicemen and women are deployed across the world in the war on terror."
and
Quote:

"And it is tempting to believe that the danger is behind us. That hope is understandable, comforting -- and false. The killing has continued in Bali, Jakarta, Casablanca, Riyadh, Mombasa, Jerusalem, Istanbul, and Baghdad. The terrorists continue to plot against America and the civilized world."
-- Bush State of the Union Jan 20 2004

Whether or not Osborn believes the war ended a year ago, I'm thinking the commander in chief is probably a better authority on such matters.

Why? When you get to the point where you don't believe anything he says, asking him (or Cheney) is an exercize in futility.

Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots.

You have people who actually hate america more than al-quaeda on this board. An American is brutaly murdered, beheaded, and his headless body broadcast on the internet and the SECOND POST BLAMES BUSH.
