| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 8,663 | Do you still want the USA to capture / kill Bin Laden? Most of the time only about 3 people will bother to vote in a poll here, but I thought I would try once more. The question is simple enough. The reason for it is many Republicans feel that Laden is not all that important and that killing terrorists in Irag is the "real war". What you think? |

| Guest Posts: n/a | In the best of possible worlds, in my view, Osama bin Laden would be captured, tried in an internationally respected court, and-if found guilt on the crimes we suspect him of-be sentenced to prison for the rest of his life. It's important, in my view, that the international community--even if the U.S. refuses to participate--reiterate and demonstrate that, for all our sakes, the global community must be ruled by law, and not men like Osama bin Laden and George W. Bush. Regards S. |

Just make sure it's not Iran or Saudi Arabia ye send him to. " UKIP -- the United Kingdom Independence Party, the golf club version of the BNP, British National Party. " Middle East.. | BANNED Posts: 701 | Bin Laden and Al Qaida are creations of the CIA and MOSSAD working with Saudi oil royalty. Muslims are the most easily manipulated of all the Abrahamic faithful into war fanaticism because Islam is based on religious warfare. Add secret cells where no one knows what's going on anywhere else and you got the perfect set-up for creating scary terrorist episodes to maintain the Neo-Con myth of Islamic plans for world domination. All you have to do to erase the propaganda is talk to Muslims in your area. |

| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 8,663 | War and Peace. Democratic hopeful comes out with war plan to get Bin Laden. Obama talks tough on Pakistan - Yahoo! News He will invade another country if need be. Meanwhile the Republicans are talking about peace. Rice seeks peace momentum in Middle East visit - Yahoo! News nice photo op eh? Well, providing Saudia Arabria and Isreal with weapons of mass distruction brings us full circle because that is how the Irag war got started in the first place. Great peace momentum - another arms race. Invading Pakistan while knowing they are a nuclear nation already should be interesting. "wherever you are hiding we will track you down and get you Bin Laden" - which was our original "war cry" right after 9-11. But PLEASE do not call it a cursade Obama because so far their "god" seems to be doing a good job of protecting his prophet Laden in this so-called holy war. Meanwhile the merger between Saudi Arabian oil people and Halliburton to safeguard the oil fields in Iraq via our weapons being supplied is underfoot. In case you did not "read between the lines" concerning the lastest news reports. Part of the billion dollar deal is to insure Saudi Arabia that Isreal will effect peace, which was the reason for Rice's next stopover. Control Isreal or "no mega oil deal". A lot is at stake here. The veiws expressed in this posting are my own and not indicated in the news links provided. |

![]() Mass'Debator Posts: 4,724 | To answer the original question, Yes.... if you guys say you are going to do something.... do it! Not going after who the majority feel is directly responsible for the attacks of 9/11 is just an injustice to the victims of 9/11..... this whole fiasco in Iraq is a pathetic mask of the failures of capturing Bin Man.... In a perfect world, as soon as 9/11 happened, as soon as the decision of invading Afghanistan was made.... it should have been stuck to.... right to the end until all goals in the mission were met. But instead.... the officials in the US decided that since the Taliban lost their overal power in Afghanistan, you won..... so then you jumped over to Iraq. The Taliban were out of absolute power, but they were no defeated, nor was Bin Laddin captured..... Now Iraq is the big deal? This shows inconsistancy, lack of following through goals, and Bush's big line he likes to spout all the time "Stay the Course" ~ Should have been used in Afghanistan..... Talk about not practicing what he preaches.... now Afghanistan seems to just be a minimal situation in the US, from what I can see from the lack of actual media coverage and knowlege of what's going on there from common US citizens. I guess everybody forgot the whole reason why were in this mess to begin with.... If Bin laddin was captured/arrested/killed ~ Then some shred of the sole purpose of why NATO countries and the sort would come out...... We have new reasons for staying in Afghanistan, but the original reasons have been forgotten..... so too has the justice for the victims of 9/11 it would seem...... |

![]() Mass'Debator Posts: 4,724 | True but going all out and using this force on those responsible for the crime, and then capturing them and bringing them to justice or at least knowing they are dead, then a lot of credibility would come back from the world.... probably not all... but a lot. Technically, it would have been a sucess. |

Also since the "war on terror" started there have been many fresh new recruits into Al Qaeda. Delusion- A persistent false belief held in the face of strong contradictory evidence. Wanted : dead or alive #2 To win a war in Iraq requires several times more funds allocated, than it has been done so far. Who is willing to pay ? What means ? Otherwise, 2-4 decades is a minimum "time-frame" we may start noticing positive results. How to withstand those 2-4 decades ? Exception : Iraqis (themselvs) would start making progress. How is that possible ? No clue, since they have been brainwashed for millenniums. | |
