Actually, the United Nations starved Iraq with sanctions (and turned a blind eye while the Frogs over there in Paris were making all kinds of money off the oil for food program). Of course, let's not forget that Hussein had been violating the cease fire agreement that ended the Gulf War since shortly after the ink dried on the document.

9/11 is empirically partly blow back for occupying holy territory in Saudi Arabia. Osama only became an anti-American terrorist, after he was kicked out of the Saudi King's court, for his refusal to stand down in his public objections, of the King's decision to let non-Islamic troops occupy the border between Iraq and Saudi Arabia.

Occupying holy territory in Saudi Arabia? What holy territory? Occupy? When did the United States invade Saudi Arabia? Do you think that maybe the Saudi government gave the U. S. permission to set up military bases there? No, the real reason for 9/11 is retaliation for more than 50 years of foreign policy in the Middle East wherein the U. S. interfered with the internal affairs of those nations (such as putting the Shah of Iran into power, selling WMDs to Iraq that Iraq used on its own people, and so on).

What you talking about? Attacks are still being attempted, they're just not successful, and what can you blame for that but good homeland security?
