The connection is not based totally on real science. The evidence suggests that that we have a "ozone hole" that is now larger then at anytime in earth's history and that it will get larger. At the same time that this took place as an "effect" of something abnormal, the lower ozone near the surface of the earth has changed due mostly to fosil fuels, which is evident by the higher levels of smog and polution levels. Which levels (relatively) have increased since the 1920s towards a peak in the 1990s - (and beyond?). The fact that both of those problems are happening at the same time would suggest that the abnormal adding of man-made polution can be linked to the fact that the ozone hole is abnormally large. | |
