Being an effective President.

People always want to know if a President can be effective in getting things done.

It helps if Congress and the Senate is controlled by the same poltical party that the President is a member of.

Now President Bush Jr is a fine example of a effective President who by 'hook or crook' got things done. He basically just "dictatorshipped" his agenda onto the people. Sometimes dodging Congress by finding legal ways around them. And by not debating anyone. He just did what he wanted no matter what anyone else thought.

The problem is he did all the wrong things. Effecting a war that was not needed, effcting laws to make global warming worse, outlawing stem cell research, and a lot of other stuff that you should already know about.

But what if a Democratic president followed that same method but did all the right things instead. And finally got what we need to get fixed in the nation, and worldwide, fixed.

Would we allow a good President the same pushy power that Bush Jr demonstrated in order to fix what is messed up?

We've already "allowed" it. Bush has established precedents that would allow any future president to ignore the Constitution and trample the law.

I really rather we effect a war on terror rather than allow them to cut off heads and blow up everywhere they feel like without consequences.

How did we make the other planets in our solar system subject to global warming as well since many are also warmer now? Oh, that thing called the sun.
Bush is now responsible for sun activity in our solar system?

Carter was an example of the first GOOD DEMOCRAT PRESIDENT who did all you wanted and his actions gave birth to this whole mess.

Who are the principle benefactors of "war without end?" The state and its corporate allies, that's who. Everyone else foots the bills, does the fighting, and faces the bulk of the terrorist violence, destruction, panic, etc.
