1. I don't live in Iran. 2. "Media Studies" is one of my majors... I probably know way more about State run TV than Zionists could teach you in 500 years. Go to a DVD store or online, download Noam Chomsky's documentary called "Manufacturing Consent"... I am actually growing tired of giving you media lessons each time I log in. ...and the Sage said, "Oh Ibn_Sina, I give thy the Legendary Sword of Righteousness. I was reading an essay of Antonio Gramsci. Well, media critics like Noam Chomsky or dissidents such as Alex Cockburn, William Blum will tell you the same thing Gramsci said decades ago. What he said is, in some countries, states do not use coercion to control its people. Civil societies such as Media, Churches, Schools rather serve an ideological purpose, by promoting the dominant ideologies (beliefs shared by the rulers). If you read Ghook's posts, you will see a typical brainwashed Zionist in him. He never disagrees with Zionism, no matter what. By the way, this is not a personal insult. ...and the Sage said, "Oh Ibn_Sina, I give thy the Legendary Sword of Righteousness. Remember, if thy fail, Dark Beast Mogilla will be unstopable"...

| Look Stuff Up Posts: 810 | I really don't see much difference between the Iran of today and the Nazis of the 20th century. ![]() Americans mostly don't have a favorable view of Iran and do consider them racist and dangerous in my opinion. Personal freedom appears to be the enemy of Iran's President and Religious leaders. They are intolerant of any other views. The Islamic Republic of Iran will never go away, whether you like it or not. In fact, when we, the Persians, ruled an empire, America was not even thought of. We are still here, and will be here... ...and the Sage said, "Oh Ibn_Sina, I give thy the Legendary Sword of Righteousness. Remember, if thy fail, Dark Beast Mogilla will be unstopable"... |

I would agree that you should stop making military threats, GBA, but, Ibn, I'm sad to say that they are not superficial (though the U.S. should be sufficiently skittish of foreign involvement on it's own for a while) Iran has not been a world power since the Sassanids controlled the middle east after the Romans fell (and I'm not sure if they were really persian) While you are certainly on the rise in terms of relevance, due to your antagonization of the U.S., I would remind you that, while the U.S. might not wipe out you're people, it certainly can send you back a few centuries. Those are not "superficial" threats. “Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.” -Albert Einstein |

| Molten Ash Posts: 25 | You cannot take quotes from a few Rabbis, editors, and employees of various organizations and expect to be taken seriously in the claim that Israel as a whole is a discriminatory nation state. On the flipside however, if you were to find a quote from a national leader, like the many found from leaders of Arabic nations, that is blatantly discriminatory, perhaps you would have a case. Until that point, I will unable to lend any real credence to your qualms. |

I could give a rats ass about your background in media or whatever the documentary says. The facts are simple, State run media will aways be more bias than independent news souces. That's a fact!

The Islamic Republic of Iran was forced upon Iranians by zealous religious leaders who most of the people can't stand these days, which is why the government keeps having to crack down on protests in the country. Islam is not compatible with freedom of anything. The people of Iran will topple their own government for a better non religious one IMO. Meanwhile the religion of radicalism Islam is again looking to attack Israel with plots of terror after the false promises of wanting peace. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7...438137,00.html "Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus

| Igneous Magma Posts: 200 | That is because while you are trying to tell the honest truth, he is grasping at any rationalization he can muster up to attempt to hideously justify the crime against the Palestinian people. Instead of accepting the fact that we are all endowed with rights by virtue of natural law, he tries to justify the violation of Palestinian life, liberty, humanity, and property even to the point of resorting to double standards. And as if that weren't enough he knows that the American media has been swamped to the point of almost total control by heartless, self-centered individuals who share his viewpoint. I am neither Jew, Arab, or Muslim; but I know that if Israeli authorities were to force me to evacuate my own family home to surrender it to a Jewish settlement, I would resist it as strongly as I could. The law against such thievery has been "written" in the heart of man since his creation. |
