can you say - lame? a little while later, i hear my openly racist ex-boss by the television... he's BLASTING the volume at some part... i didn't watch it, but i heard the bell toll and then some sort of american song. i'm just saying.. *oyve* | |

It's just that I can't do much about it. There is a wish that good things go on forever, though, and Ray could sing. You're right to a point, though. People die, life goes on. But care? Yes, I care. I didn't want Reagan and his family to go what they went through the last ten years, either. They went through it using a lot of my money, I'm sure, but I wouldn't wish that on anyone. |

It's really not that I don't care for human lives, but the fact that people "respect" and feel sorry for someone they should - because they were famous. Why are these people any different than Joe Workingman, the truck driving man who died last month? I'm so f**king tired of people putting a price tag on life. A human being is a human being, end of story. Now, to not get a MrVicchio-in-Reagan-thread- reaction; Rest in peace, Ray Charles. |

No more of a big deal than anyone else. But on the other hand, there are going to be no more John Lennon records, no more John Belushi movies, no more Ray Charles songs. People die, big deal. They're no more important than any one else, shouldn't make any more money than any one else. All that is true. But there won't be any more. Just something to take a pause and look at once in a while. Just another blip on the screen, but a blip nonetheless. |
