| Guest Posts: n/a | america needs enemies, or so believe some politicians. they would like us to live in fear because it makes us obey and not question our leaders. it gives government and military a purpose. for a long time it was the soviets. but then they fell apart. so right away we picked iraq. then for some time it looked like it might be china, but that was too dicey and big. now it seems our enemy is 'terrorism'. to the government, terrorism is a fine enemy. the terrorists can strike without warning, keeping the public fearful and patriotic/xenophobic. we also can retaliate endlessly and still achieve no final victory. we will never run out of terrorists, or people to call terrorists. this war is bogus. give me my 1990's back. |

If you were going to pull this off you'd have to make the people think you were good for something and apparently the people really believe that Republicans will fight the Terrorists...and they'd better keep thinking that because if they didn't the people would not support the Republicans in Power...If only the Democrats didn't represent Homosexual Marriage and Abortion and the ACLU...then maybe the people who should concentrate on the erosion of Our middle class could Unite and focus on the Gravest evil we face...Corporate controlled Puppet politicians. Young Young I guess all we've got Left......are these darned "Internets" |
