all of this is a product of the horrible lack of leadership that the political establishment has served the nation. an incompetent president, first supported by the rubber-stamp republican-led congress.. now, there's the same incompetent president, being supported by the spineless democratic-led congress (that just handed him another check for "stay the course"). i wonder if there is a candidate out there who can actually inspire some hope in the nation..... someone who offers true change, assuming that the public actually wants true change......

The "spinelss" Democrats are showing their true colors, and falling right into line with the other "representatives" that always end up representing something other that the people they were elected to represent. How older generations have come to support this scam, or fail to speak out against it makes my head spin.

Sure there is. Ron Paul can do everything you've mentioned except get elected. The two major parties have a lock on elections in this country, they're not about to let that get away from them. Rule changes, gerrymandering, outright voter fraud, whatever it takes, power will stay where it has traditionally been. | Skeptical Patriot Posts: 7,746 | I'm surprised too, to be honest. But after a lot of thought I figure Biden would be the best of the bunch. Ron Paul is a Republican but he still sounds like a Libertarian. The problem with that is the GOP wouldn't follow him because what he believes in would be against their best interests. And, like the L.P. itself, any radical positions Paul would take would fail because the idiot sheep don't do radical. I really see no difference if he would be elected from either party at this point, as he would get no support. Biden is less radical (comparatively) and just as smart. He's also fairly consistent and if you know him you see his positions are not that different now than they were years ago. You can't say that about most of these chameleons who are spending most of their time denying things they stood for only a year ago. He's also had a plan for Iraq going back two years and he is considered by everyone an expert on foreign policy, which would be a big difference from the idiot in the WH right now. All things considered, I have to back the one I think would do the most good in a time when ANY good would be a welcome change. Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots. |
