The Israeli Ministry of Defense views the Qassams as "more a psychological than physical threat.
The Qassam is designed to fly over the barrier and strike Israeli targets outside the strip.

I thought this was interesting. There are so many missiles fired, but so few casulaties. Nevertheless, shooting anything into another country is an act of war, that requires a response.

Sure, what could be more fair than to have some of your stolen land offered back to you if you'll accept the loss of the rest?

Why don't you explain why you seem to think that it's fine for Israel to fight to keep the stolen land, and yet it's unreasonable for the Palestinians to fight to get it back??
Becouse its not their land and never was.

When 2 people have valid claims to a piece of land, then negotiation is fair and just and it would be irrational, reckless and foolish to expect expect it all.

And yet you claim that Israel "bought" the land. If no one else owned it, why would Israel have to buy it? And if no one else owned it, why would Israel need to be established by a mandate in 1948?

Palestinains want to commit ethnic cleansing againt the Jews.Like they did in Hebron in 1929.
Quote:
According to Abu Abir, the Palestinian resistance organizations would not back down, even if the targeted killings reach more senior leaders.

"Yesterday, Hamas leader Khalil al-Haya, said after members of his family were killed, that the incident would only increase our determination. This is the essence of the Palestinian people. No killing, no shelling and no air strike will prevent us from continuing. We want to see thousands more residents of Sderot and the vicinity be evacuated," Abu Abir said.

There was majority of Jews in a Jewish state. So there full consent of majority of people in the designated state.
Why was there a majority of Jews in a Jewish state? I know why. Because Jews thought they should "spiritualy ascend to the holy land." If Zionism is secular and has no ties with religion, then why should Zionism be distinguished from Territorialism?

It seems as though ever since the Great Jewish Revolt, Jews have wanted to go back to their homeland.

There was a war that Arabs started.
The idea was to immigrat to the Land of Israel (Aliyah), become the majorty, and kick out the minority. Obviously, the Jews started the current war.

in Jewish holy spells such as the Passover and Yom Kippur there are claims that one day the Jews will return. This type of narrowed minded dillusional thinking is what makes this debate so hard to figure out.

I suggest Jews no longer consider themselves Zionists. America should give up a section of their own land in order to make room for a Jewish homeland. I suggest Texas, you ok with that shrike? You still may have to worry about religious fanatics though...so I do not know if that will solve your problem.

I'm the thought that never crossed my mind.

I don't think the Texans will be moving out so the Jews can have their whole state. They might welcome immigrants who want to blend in however...

No not at all. Most of the Zionists were socialists. For example it lead to creation of Kibbutz. Like I said Zionist movement was created as other national movements for self determination was created
Saying all this. I don't deny there was no religious Zionist. Of course there was but there was not a majority then and not a majority now.(Religious Zionist Party got about 7-8 mandates in last election out of 120)

Yes you right. But what it has to with religion? Israel was birthplace of Jewish people there is many cultural and historical ties with this land and that one of the main reasons it was chosen.

How so? Many people who came back to Israel wanted to leave peacefully with local population.

Well its not delusional thinking it did happen as you can see.

So what you propose is ethnic cleansing. Why you don't propose to do it with Palestinians?

Everybody has this self-determination. Jews wanted their land back...Force was used to kick the Jews out, and now force is being used get back "their" land.

Yep, the only place where Jews could legitmately start a war to get their land back.

No the Jews started to immigrate back to the land, when they became a majority they wanted to fully control the government. The only way to fully control this piece of land was to use force. The war is NOT over.

Only if they controlled the land.

Because they are the ones wining this war. The losers have to find somewhere else to live.

Rez,

Maybe we should create a separate part of our country for Mexicans also, oh wait we already do in Texas, AZ, NM and CA. Scratch that.

The Jews struggle for their home land is a never-ending battle of achieving, then losing it/partially losing it, achieving, then losing it/partially losing it etc. and etc. It started with the Assyrias, then Persians (Cyrus the Great - who was actually good to the Jews), then Greeks, then Romans, then Persians again, then Arabs and then Turks. Why would the struggle subsidize, because when the Israeli/Palestinians lands are their home land also.

This doesn't address the issue that the Jews are using force to get their land back.
