Have any of you ever considered the proverbial "third rail" that Ron Paul grabbed.
I read the MI GOP statement and they can ban him from further debates.
Candidates have seen their political careers shot down for a much less grievous statement.
Following the loony left with their conspiracy theories will not win the GOP nomination.
I was all for his right to be listed and included on the platform but if this is the kind of statement he wishes to base his candidacy on, he has a problem with the GOP middle ground.
This may be a time to form a real third party and Ron Paul can be a major force behind it.
As a GOP candidate, he doesn't have a chance.

Damn! Does the truth hurt that much?

if i were registered democrat, i would switch affiliation to vote for paul in the primaries... i was independent prior to the 2000 election and registered republican to vote for mccain.. i'm currently independent again and plan on registering republican to vote for paul in the primaries..

if people like what paul has to say, they may also register republican to support him in the primaries..

hope for america...

I predict that many, many people will register as Republican so that they can vote for Ron Paul in the primaries.

Also note: LOL

How is suggesting that U.S. foreign policy contributed to 9/11 equivalent to following "the loony left" with their "conspiracy theories"?

Please, do tell us more here.

Why was it an error?

Obviously Dr. Paul's campaign is not so much about getting elected as it is about speaking truth to power. What better way to do that than to reveal a hidden truth about that most sensitive subject of our day -- 9/11?

- Rob
An error because of how Giuliani exploited it. Properly phrased it could have been an irrefutable plus for Paul.

The phrasing: "The 9/11 Commission found that..."

"And furthermore an unwarranted war on Iraq, a nation that had nothing to do with 9/11..."

"I mean, whose money are we spending here?"

pH, I totally agree. However, the link Rob put up is pretty encouraging. Americans like rebels who speak their minds and don't mince words. One of Kerry's major downfalls was his inability to get people invigorated. (On the other hand, Dean's downfall was getting people TOO invigorated.)

BTW, I signed the petition. I hope Dr. Paul continues to be encouraged by movements like this to be direct and truthful. Now that he's on the warpath, he can't get off until the primaries are his.

Osama Bin Laden said that the 9-11 attacks were in retaliation for US military in Saudi Arabia.

Sounds like the result of US foreign policy to me....

As for the "loony left", it was once considered a Loony" idea that Oswald did NOT kill Kennedy. Now, it's pretty much been established that he couldn't possibly have done it, at least not alone. How times do change.
