That's your opinion, but people as a whole have been known to be far more stupid than in this instance.

Zeebadee~~

Your links go to lefty blogs and the WaPo.
Dilly is such denial that he rejects virtually anything in the media other than his right wing bloggers. A waste of time and bandwidth.
Actually, I myself linked to a WaPo article that supported my position......unable to resist the temptation of a test to see if you bothered to read them--before their obligitory dismissal with an imperious wave of the hand.

Predictable, as always......we should play poker sometime.

As you were.

Why do I not trust the left?

Could it be that familiarity has reared the distasteful expectation sired by past offense?

I generally play poker with those whose wits I respect.

Still denying that the facts regarding Pat Tillman's death were covered up for almost a month by the military for political purposes?

Not me.....I'll take anyone's chips, I'm not picky.

Yes. Emphatically! The US military has no 'political purposes', which you would know, had you ever served. It is illegal for one to make politically motivated statements in the media or other public forum while in uniform, representing the entire COUNTRY.

I, however, am no longer subject to those constraints, and may misrepresent the facts just as easily as yourself 'for political purposes', n'est pas?

Carry on.

Was that the article about Clinton "Saddam was helping Bin Laden with his VX production plant"? That was from the Washington TIMES, with is a little more right wing then the Washington Post.

LOL. Your delusions are getting really funny. The military didn't lie about Pat Tillman or Jessica Lynch, the NYTimes works for AlQaeda, and up is own and wet streets cause rain. Just keep denying reality. Doesn't change a good goddamn but it is amusing.

No, I meant THIS article, in post #351.

Your article claims "Marine Says Rules Were Followed."

Of course, the Marine Corps apparently doesn't agree, as they will formally charge at least six of the Marines on the ground in Haditha for crimes up to homicide, as well as filing charges against their superiors up to the rank of Lt. Col. None of this would have come to light if Time Magazine hadn't reported on the massacre after local officers covered it up. Just like what happened after Mai Lai, come to think of it.

I'm sure you'll find some way to deny the whole thing happened. You seem to be trying to sell grain that the horse has already eaten.

My error. I just went back to read the last link you posted and thought it was the one you referred to. Apologies.

Sorry. JAG is not the "Marine Corps", as you suggest....it is only the most lefty outfit in the entire military, infested with solicitors trained in the finest Commie indoctrination centers in the Western Hemisphere, the Ivy League law schools.

This case is little more than a conspiracy between our enemy on the front lines who provide phoney video and testimony from insurgents and lefty JAG lawyers who want nothing more than to exercise their power over the line officers in the military, regardless of the outcome for our country's interests.

With one important distinction. This case hadn't even gone to trial before lefy nimrods started touting it as their lever to recall the troops, their "mai lai"........of course, I'm sure you're not just repeating their talking points........are you?

Oh, it happened all right.....just not the way you apparently hope it happened.

The IED that killed the one soldier by cutting him in half as he sat in the passenger seat of the Hummvee is what triggered the fire from the houses that the Marines then proceeded to clear with grenades and rifle fire.....as per their rules of engagement.

If you expect them to take fire without returning it just because the enemy is attacking from a civilian domicile, I would suggest that you expect a great deal more from them than you would enjoy for your own service, n'est pas?

Well, where is our countries interest in this whole mess? I'll tell you where it's at....MONEY, that's where the interest lies. We have a vice president's company who made in excess $10,000,000,000.00 in profits since this nonsense started. We have a president that can't comprise a complete sentence.

It took three years but the Army finally admitted at least some of the truth:

9 Officers Faulted for Aftermath of Tillman Death
Quote:
Evidence that Corporal Tillman had been shot to death by fellow Rangers who believed that they were engaging enemy forces emerged on April 23, 2004, the day after his death in eastern Afghanistan. But, the investigation found, Army commanders did not notify his family of this suspicion as required, and did not tell them what had actually happened until 35 days after he was killed.

The investigators recommended that the nine officers, four of them generals, be subjected to disciplinary action.
The military knew the truth within a day and then lied to the family and the nation for more than a month.

"U.S. Army Cpl. Pat Tillman, the former professional football player killed last month in Afghanistan, was probably killed by gunfire from his own unit during an intense firefight, the U.S. Army said Saturday."

What does everyone think about this?
It's a sin, crime and a shame and feel more sorrow than words can express.

It's just one more example of how you can't trust ANYTHING that comes out of the government.
The bizarrely named "friendly fire" happens many times in battle, and the military would not have suffered if they had just fessed up and told the truth.

We have been lied to so many times it seems only the most resolute sheep in this country can still believe anything the government claims. The problem is, there are so damned MANY sheep out there.

Predictably, silence from those bushbots that have claimed all along that there was no intent to mislead Tillman's family or anyone else. I guess that when the truth finally emerges and dispells all the lies, the best strategy is to avoid any further comment and pretend you were never involved. What disgusting and contemptible people.
