| Sedimentary Rock Posts: 3 | I believe that the ideal government is similar to that of the US or UK. I believe free enterprise is essential in any country, and that people should be able to achieve and fulfil their aims and to compete with others. In a communist form of government, although ( in theory) there is a safety net for everyone, and that the rate of employment could be higher, I believe by removing the capitalist ideal of competition, it is also removing ambition from the workers and so could actually decrease production (even though there are more workers). Simply, i believe that communism is a reassonably good idea in theory, but in practice, the lack of competition (which leads to ambition), ultimately leads to a doomed system |

And the establishment of capitalism under the imperial age has put a huge number of countries at a significant disadvantage, and the already mentioned protections the uber rich have achieved makes it more difficult for the third world to break out. the result of this is the death of a million a day dead. Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery. Winston Churchill |

| Molten Ash Posts: 27 | For the record, referring to socialism as anarchism isn't simply a trend. The term is called anarcho-socialism, and it does not imply anything of the typical definition of anarchy. It simply means that the organizational structures in a society are organized from below, not from above. I don't know who coined the term, but it is the best description of the sort of society advocated by people like Noam Chomsky. I've spent a lifetime defending the flag and the law. Maybe I should have battled less - and questioned more. - Captain America |
