| Principled Observer Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 13,873 | I truly believe he could be a martyr for his cause. I would never call such an idiot a genius, but I believe he was made into a martyr of his own cause by his own inclination to resemble such, by those who surround him in his administration. The Iraq war has been botched so bad, our Constitution so butchered under these people, I find it hard to believe it was simply "bad planning". | Truthfully Sarcastic Location: Montana Posts: 194 | I remember reading something from the AP that he nearly got a perfect on his SAT's and was accepted into Yale instantly. He graduated with a bachelor degree in History and was not kicked out for cheating (i.e. like Ted Kennedy). Either way he doesn't appear to act amazingly smart but he didn't do too bad in school. Sorry I don't remember the exact date of the article but I bet you could find it with a Google Scholar search or something. | In-Ya-Face-Subtlety Location: Colo-RAD-o Posts: 74 | Read "Bush on the Couch" for a psychological profile on the genius. I agree with Another Day; he's a puppet, designed to put out for the public every now and then who will assure the poor, bewildered, ignorant masses that, yes, everything is fine, just around the corner, whatever, Meanwhile, career politicians, businessmen and those f*cking lobbyists make backroom deals to ensure workers and poor people are never properly paid and never properly represented in the government; the public is none the wiser, business as uaual, go on about your lives. That's why when people joke about assassinating Bush, I just tell them then Cheney will be President. The man is no genius, just a pawn for the real government who has all his descions, actions, moves and ideas handed down to him from on Right-Wing high, and he does what he's told. That's why we won't leave Iraq; it's not that Bush doesn't nessecarily want to, it's that the grand archiects of the PNAC need that foothold in the Middle East to have a firm grasp on the most unstable region in the world. ![]() The Cake is a lie... Location: St. Louis Posts: 2,285 | Not trying to sound like I think Bush is the brightest guy in the world but... Approval Ratings =/= Intelligence Case in point, Jimmy Carter. He had a 34% approval rating when he left office and he had an IQ of 175 or 176. For that matter... Intelligence =/= Good Leadership Skills either. So Bush kinda takes a double whammy. What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality? |

| Semper Fortis Location: Everywhere Posts: 145 | I don’t think Mr. Bush is a genius or the best president. I do find it disturbing how some of you can sit there and beat this man to shit when you clearly don’t know what it is like to be president. How can you sit there, throw stones and judge a man personally about something that you yourself would undoubtedly suck at? Is it because you’ve watched the news, read presidency for dummies and lead the dungeons and dragons club of America? Now you feel you’re a qualified political annalist ready to defame the president? Walk a day in his shoes, and then judge him. Until then, shut the hell up |

He works for the American people. We know what his responsibilities are and we can compare his performance to others who have held the same position. Since when is the president above reproach? Since when is he exempt from criticism? If he does a poor job, and many think he has, it's our obligation as his employer to let him know we expect better. | Semper Fortis Location: Everywhere Posts: 145 | And while I would agree with you, criticism does NOT involve defamation of character. You don’t go over to your friend, slap the finishing pole out of his hand and say “you’re doing it all wrong you fat idiot”. If you want to criticize, criticize, don’t throw stones. |

This is such a dumb rationale. This man is President of the United States. If he's running the country into the ground, am I not allowed to say something on the gounds that I have never been President myself? Shame, that some people willingly bow their heads to the corruption of power. Soobaaroobaawoo.

Maybe we should put a democrat in office? That way, the terrorist can blow up ships, barracks and buildings unmolested. If Clinton would have did something the first time they hit the towers the towers would still be standing and the USS Cole wouldn’t have a gaping freaking hole in it. Maybe you like free handouts. Maybe you want government run schools and medical care. Maybe you want to live in a quasi socialistic society ran by the democrats. Hey we can assume our pre World War II isolationist stance again. Would that make you happy? Do like seeing terrorist blow shit up and you socialistic democratic government do nothing about it? Here is a little fun fact for you. How many successful terrorist attacks were there win Clinton was in office? At least 3 Now how many since Bush? I only remember one.

They've all been in power so long they've forgotten everything except exercising their power. The left and right aren't opposites, they're exactly the same.
