M. Moore admits Disney 'ban' was a stunt nuff said

Haven't read Vicchio's article yet, but a lot of the comments I've read that Moore has refuted don't make much sense when I watched the movie. Have you seen the movie Mr. V and read Moore's rebuttal?

I don't know anything about his accuracy. I liked his TV show, but he really came off as self-righteous. Like the thing with Heston. Heston may be whatever Moore thinks he is, but that seemed pointless. Heston isn't responsible for murders and wars.

I saw the highlights on 60 minutes before I quit watching their bullshit. They were promoting the movie and giving it rave reviews. I still thought is was bullshit, just from the high lights.

Look, what I remember was a bunch of shit that was not relevant to columbine. ponder the facts of that case:

Nothing, including accquiring the weapons, that those kids did, was legal. Two of the weapons (the shotguns) had been modified (chopped up) in such a manner that they fell under the same legal classification as a machine gun, including such weapons as a Browning 50. cal, an M249 saw ect. No they were not equivilant firepower, I'm just illustrating just how illegal it was. The carbine was purchased from a straw purchaser, and the Intratec 9mm SMG look-a-like was purchased on the black market, the same way you get some pot or crack.

Now WTF does how easy it is for a 21+ year old with a clean record that gets checked by the BATFE before every purchase to buy a handgun, or an 18+ year old that has passed the same background check getting a free rifle designed to hunt deer, have to do with kids stealing guns and buying ohers on the black market? And dont give me this bullshit about how all the guns had to be legal at some point. That is not a valid argument. If those guns had not been available, we would have been lving in a country where the arms trade is completely illicit, and their only options would have probably been imported Kalashnikov rifles or M-16s stolen from the military, or homemade 9mm machine guns, of the P.A. Luty variety. Hardly an improvement of the situation.

Mr. Moore's position is completely indefensable, even if only the best he has is showed and the really weak bullshit is hidden, as on 60 minutes. He is either completely ignorant of what happened in Littleton (not likely) or is lying for his agenda.

Those who know the case, know he is full of shit because he did not address anything that was really relevant to what happened. This is not even really an issue about whether gun control would have prevented the shooting, because, you could assume that gun control would have worked (just like alcohol prohibition, pot prohibition, cocain prohibition, yeah I'm sure it would be 100% effective, right) and the specific gun control he was promoting would still be irrelevant.

Mabey I missed something because I only saw the 60 minutes segment. But you have to admit that when you are being promoted and given every chance to look like you know what you are talking about and it still seems obvious that you are an idiot, that kind of leaves an impression that whatever you were not showing must be pretty lousy, and redundant of what you did show.

You're probably right, but from any interview I ever saw, he said the movie was not about Columbine. I don't remember the movie all that well, but I don't remember his point being that the guns were legal. I remember wondering when the movie was done if there was really a point except that Americans think differently than other people.

Like I said, I don't know about accuracy. I have seen some of the criticisms that he rebutted on his web site, and from what I saw, those criticisms had nothing to do with the movie I saw.

Heston is a badass. Moore should be ashamed of himself. I think the NRA is ineffective (they don't write or talk about the gun control laws that Bush supports) but Heston has more of a reason to keep and bear arms than most people. Especially now that Moore has demonized him for the entertainment of his mindless, liberal minions.

Heston is retired. Our new president is a fellow by the name of Robinson. I'm not sure what the hell he was before. I think he was a police officer or something(?)
