Let's see - over 600,000 civilians have died out of a population of 27 million, a civil war is underway and the insurgency is as strong as ever, but Glenn Beck is happy that Iraqis now have cell phones. Hoo haa.

And the governor that Beck finds so inspiring hasn't been on the job for long.

Maamoun Sami Rashid al-Awani is Anbar's fourth governor in three years. The first governor, elected in 2003, abruptly resigned in July 2004 after four of his sons were kidnapped. The sons were returned. An interim governor filled in until the Provincial Governing Council appointed Raja Nawaf Farhan al-Mahalawi in January 2005. Al-Mahalawi was kidnapped and died in captivity when his captors engaged in a firefight with U.S. forces.

wow the real story summed up in an emotional two minute video clip - no wonder why you have such profound wisdom on this war. I also think it is ironic that Iraqi's now have freedom of speech just like Americans, however, when Iraqi civilians start speaking out against the war will they be painted as anti-Iraq or maybe be told to leave their country for not being patriotic?
