Below is a list of new-founded powers of the President. Are they truthful?

1. It authorizes the suspension of habeas corpus for non-citizens, including legal permanent residents, in U.S. custody.

2. It authorizes the President to detain anyone, including U.S. citizens, without charge by designating them enemy combatants or unlawful enemy combatants.

3. It authorizes the President to determine what constitutes torture.

4. It authorizes the use of evidence obtained by coercion (evidence obtained through use of force, i.e. - torture).

5. It authorizes the use of hearsay evidence.

6. It authorizes retroactive immunity for U.S military and intelligence officials for abuses that occurred at sites such as, Abu Ghraib, Guantánamo, Bagram and secret CIA facilities.

That covers it, nice final touch #6 to keep Cheney and Rumsfeld from being dragged in front of the World Court in the Hague as war criminals.

The recitation of new powers is right. The acquistion of those powers is so very wrong. This legislation is the beginning of the end of a free America.

Indeed, the top six reasons they should be tried for treason, and their crimes against their countrymen.

Swinging from a rope is too good for those at the top of the Bush administration.
