| Agnostic, Cynic Location: New York Posts: 285 | US to back Japan Recently in the news, Secratary of State Rice told Japanese leaders that the US will use its entire force to help Japan in the case of war with North Korea, it was a move to try to stop Japan from getting nukes, apperntly its working. Do you think American can really help, maybe with nukes but our forces are stretched so thin that if war broke out they my start draft. Would you go to war or dodge the draft if there was one? |

| Igneous Magma Posts: 563 | Personally I think both North Korea and Pakistan are being sponsered by China to create tensions for Japan and India respectively. Its all about global hedgmony between the U.S. and China. As for U.S. helping Japan, thats all well and fine. But since it mostly has to do with nuclear weapons (which we already own) I don't see why it would cause a need to bring back the draft. All we have to do is re-program the rockets to hit NK instead of Russia. |

U.S. protectorate status was all well and good in the decades following World War II . . . it's gone on too long however and they need to start taking responsibility for their security. This would impact Japanese society very positively. |
