America's Dumbest Congressmen

A very funny survey by Radar Online on the ten dumbest congressmen which they concluded are:

10. Sen Jim Bunning (R-KY)

9. Rep Patrick Kennedy (D-RI)

8. Sen Conrad Burns (R-MT)

7. Rep Cynthia McKinney (D-GA)

6. Rep Jean Schmidt (R-Ohio)

5. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA)

4. Rep. JD Hayworth (R-Ariz.)

3. Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.)

2. Rep. Donald Young (R-AK)

1. Rep. Katherine Harris (R-Fla.)

Worth reading. Funny if a touch sad.

But in a notably dumb year, perhaps the dumbest move came from Senate Majority Whip Mitch McConnell, who sponsored a bill seeking $20 million in taxpayer money for a party to celebrate America's victory in Iraq.
A Romanesque Triumph for our very own Caesar? This would have been a sight to behold.

Boxer ain't dumb? She has me fooled.

Quote:
Boxer is a limousine liberal running a few gallons short of a full tank. After convening a Democratic press event at a gas station to publicize high oil prices and accuse Bush and Cheney of being too cozy with the oil industry, California's junior senator "hopped into a waiting Chrysler (18 MPG)," noted the Washington Post, "even though her Senate office was only a block away."

Then there are Bab's manglings of diction and logic, such as this chestnut: "Those who survived the San Francisco earthquake said, 'Thank God I'm still alive.' But of course those who died, their lives will never be the same again."

Big deal. There are variables to consider, maybe her purse and laptop and car phone were in there, she may have stopped there on the way to her office. Her assistant/planner may have been waiting for her in the car. Maybe they needed to talk away from the media. Make a big deal out of nothing. I could understand a politician using a larger car for impact safety. Just as long as its not a Humvee.
As for this:

I am sure she meant to say "But of course the family of those who died, their lives will never be the same again."
She is eloquent with a rare blooper. Very rare. She can smack down bullys twice her size, and does it with unparalelled grace.

Thank God she doesnt stumble over every other word like the retard in chief. Good God!! is that the best the neo-nazis can do? GWB makes Hitler look good.
I know .......he is just a distraction from the man behind the curtain. A very real disgrace to the country. He still cant pronounce nuclear. I am sure it is because nobody dares to correct him.

Have you ever actually listened to her? If she's not dumb, she's doing a pretty damn amazing impression.

I read the part I commented on, and a bit more. Why?

Edit to add:
I made a typo by crediting the articles words to you. Is that what you are talking about? That I used the wrong tag name?

Wouldn't you say the article itself is a bit dumb, RickSp?

This:

As to dumbity and Patrick Kennedy, I would venture that the voters of his Massachusetts district are the dumbos for electing him. When will Massachusetts get over their Kennedy addiction?

McKinney may not be the most intellectual Congresscritter, and she's out of the running for this year's election, right? But at least she has the insight to challenge the obviously false official account of the events of September 11, 2001.

Katherine Harris? More an indictment of a system gone haywire than a nincompoop. She's EVIL, not stupid. Any system that can't see that the State GOP Chair being in charge of elections won't work is definitely broke.

I guess the artcle is mainly for laffs and a few hits on the folks the author doesn't like, not for serious consumption...

Katherine Harris is BOTH stupid and EVIL, but she's in Florida where such qualities aren't exactly rare.

Yup, stupid because she blew $10 million of her own money (inheritance) because the mega rich Repugnants saw she was a loser not worth betting on. I wonder if that $10 million is gone yet.

Maybe she just needs to spend more money. I would vote for her.

For $50,000.00.

So doesn't surprise me that Don Young made #2. LOL!! He's got more "outstanding" moments than that.

As for the bridge in Ketchikan, I whole heartedly agree it's a waste of funding. I agree he's a dimwit for that one.

However, the bridge from Pt. MacKenzie to Anchorage is VERY MUCH needed!!! I invited anyone to Anchorage to commute from the Valley to Anchorage for a week (especially in the long winter) and see how much it's needed.
