Chickens Arrested Outside Cleveland Ohio Debates

Yes, you read it right. Two people in chicken costumes, dressed to represent Ted Strickland(D) and Ken Blackwell(R) in the race for governor in Ohio were arrested for peaceful demonstration outside the debate site. The chicken people walked around outside the debates with a sign that read:

"Ted Strickland and Ken Blackwell are CHICKEN to debate Bill Peirce!"

This is in reference to the two major parties agreement to debate only amongst themselves for televised appearances, even though there are two other canidates on the ballot for Governor, put there by PETITION of the people, even though Ohios voting laws have been ruled unconstitutional, and in unfair denial of ballot access.

Check out the video, and watch as the peaceful "chicken people" are arrested.....

Too bad the REAL chickens, Ted and Ken aren't getting arrested. :rolleyes:

Of course chickens are terrorists. What, you think only humans can be terrorists? Little yappy ankle-biting dogs are terrorists, too, and spider monkees. I hope homeland security tells us it's OK to kill all the chicken terrorists. But don't shoot them. I tried that once, in one of my less-than-totally-lucid moments...with a .32. You can't kill a chicken with a .32.

I find it sad that two people who were only expressing their views in a PEACEFUL MANNER, were arrested for "supposedly" blocking traffic. (they never did block traffic any more than any other party supporters that day.)

They were arrested, and released once at the police station, which is more admittance by fact of the guilt of the police department for arresting them for no just cause.

Sheeple, wake up. This isn't partisan, this is about YOUR RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH.

Good question Rob, to which I don't have an answer.

I will check on that for more information.

I will say that I think one thing stands apparent.....

Bill Peirce (Libertarian canidate for Ohio Governor) as well as Fitrakis (Green Party canidate for Ohio Governor) were both outside, mingling and talking to people while Blackwell and Strickland (major parties canidates for Ohio Governor) were isolated from the public, and rode in bullet-proof black SUV's.

Peirce as well as Fitrakis demanded to be arrested alongside the chickens(though they weren't arrested), since they claimed the chickens were only doing the same thing as the canidates and other canidates supporters by being there and doing the actions they were.

I can't imagine how anyone could vote for either major party after seeing the conduct exhibited in this debate fiasco, as well as every debate fiasco for the last several elections.

Within the hour, the chickens were freed from the Cleveland police coop and rejoined campaign supporters at Hatton’s Deli Restaurant to watch the real chickens debate on television about education. As the two candidates clucked on about their platform, Peirce took notes for his forthcoming rebuttal arguments and offered his sage advice “Both of their proposals are fluff, there’s no substance to their proposals and all they can do is peck at each other. Ohio deserves better than these two chickens.”
