| Volcanic Erupter Posts: 3,713 | The Supreme Court is being asked to determine the future of the Bill of Rights: http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/04/28/enemy.co...s.ap/index.html Two very serious threats to our freedom are involved here. 1. How will the public react if the Court grants the Executive branch the unlimited power to simply declare it's opponents "combatants" and lock them up incommunicado? 2. What will we do if Bush simply defies the Court if it rules against him? "Everybody knows that the boat is leaking Everybody knows that the captain lied." - Leonard Cohen |
