I wasn't saying you were a Murtha in cutting or running from terror, I was showing you why we are there and I think you like to discount it all like it nothing happened.
I do not think you would simply give a terrorist your head, but I do think if we all thought and acted on what you believe that we would have to.

Also, our army is an all volunteer army.

Grandpa said if the babies/embryos got past the abortion block that as adults the Presidents got them killed in meaningless ways in war.

That had me show grandpa in response a reason with explanation as to how & why we are at war, how we are a volunteer army and that we are not killing babies or embryos or soldiers by Grandpa's example.

I have read an artical in Time magazine about stem cells "Stem Cells the Hope and the Hype" here's everything that I agree with, has been proven and I think stem cells would help the paralyzed heal and it would help cure other known diseases.

--According to Time, researchers and scientists have been experimenting with stem cells and paralyized rats. They inject the stem cells into these rats and their spinal cords have mended themselves with help from these embryos. That goes to show you what these stem cells could do for the spinal cords of paralyzed humans.

The Process of Stem Cells

1. Embryo by defination in the case of a human embryo- the developing human individual from the time of implantation to the end of the eighth week after conception (they are barely killing anything especially when the stem cells are only used within the 1st week or so after the egg is fertilized)

2. In those 1 to 5 days after fertilization the embryo divides into more and more cells a hollow ball of cells called a blastocyst.

3. In about 5 to 7 days after the egg is fertilized the Embryonic stem cells start forming inside the blastocysts so they create an inner cell mass.

4. Then the stem cells are scraped away and grown on feeder cells.

5. Then the tissue production starts when groups of these stem cells are given specialized conditions in which to grow in order to become an one of the body's 200 some tissues.

Pancreatic cells can provide a cure for diabetes
Muscle cells could possibly repair or replace damaged hearts
Nerve cells could be used to treat diseases such as Parkinson's, Alzeihmers or spinal cord injuries such as the one Christopher Reeves had and possibly strokes.
And theres even bone marrow cells which can produce blood and immune cells..could this possibly cure a disease such as Lukemia? Who knows anything's possible.

Stem cells could be so vital to help saving the lives of suffering people if only they are to be given a chance.

Science can only bring us great advances when the government gets the hell out of the way.

Of course, Bush didn't veto for that reason. But hey, even a dumb, blind, stumbling drunk madman can get something right for the wrong reasons sometimes.

The stem cells that could be being used to help the soldiers he needlessly paralyzed

IF this was so "true" (which it really isn't) then wouldn't there be alot of money in it for any company that had the means to develope this kind of thing? or even if it wasn't profitable, o i don't know someone like bill gates have maybe thrown a couple hundred million at this cause instead of AIDS?

Last time i cheched its only federal funding thats been partialy pulled (can only be used on existing lines), so that means some private company/wealth do gooder could come up w/ ur miracle cure that Bush is single handedly stalling, right?

The fact of the matter is, is that if it really was a cure that could be helping our soldiers some one would fund it, and the entire political aspect of it would be irelivent. From the way u make it sound, embryonic stem cells are the new penecilin and Bush is keeping medicane from millions of ppl. If that were true some one would be raking in the doe, but they aren't.
