Hezbollah are a cancer and Israel is the Kemo.
sickening war hawk rhetoric. \

If you know anything about how Chemo works your statement may be a bit accurate. Chemo works by being indiscriminate in its killing of human cells. They not only kill malignant cells but healthy cells at the same time.

This action by Israel is a gross overreaction. And a shame. They have been re building Lebanon and Beirut for the last 20 years.

Sad.
Hey, Jimmy! Didn't know you were here. How's that peace medal hanging on your shoulders? Still sorry you let Iran hold our entire country hostage for 400 days?

If Mexico (or terrorists in Mexico) began launching missiles into San Diego, you can be sure any president worth his weight would respond in the same way... Are you an American? If so, I assume you agree with Churchill that the people who died on September 11th were "little Eichmanns" and deserved to die--and that we broke the "law" when we invaded Afghanistan... no wonder you can't get elected to be commander in chief..

The kidnapping of the Israeli soldiers and bombs raining into Israel left them no choice but retaliation against Hezbollah. I sympathise with Lebonese casualties and hope the world community can rid Lebanon of the Iranian hired guns, who seem not to have the balls to do it from their own G*D DAMN nation, so they hide behind Lebonese children. So much for being super comandos, wait til they meet REAL commandos Israel will surely have covertly crossing the border. Hezbollah YOU'RE TOAST!

This is some pictures of what the international news is not showing you. This is what has become of my country Lebanon.
Please sign this petition to stop the massacres of innocent civilians...

http://www.abouyounes.com/presentation.asp?enter=true
Aren't you the people that danced in the streets after 9/11? Sorry, not buying.

Where is the outrage over Hezbollah attacks? We didn't see you here six months ago having us sign petitions saying "look, innocent Isrealis are dying because Hezbollah is a terrorist organization. Sign this petition to the Lebanese government to take action to stop Hezbollah."

I'm sorry the Isrealis feed the need to kick your people's teeth out instead of just smacking their face, but your pleas seem a little one-sided.

I guess you didn't look at the disgusting photo posted by ise, tivodan. Informing civilians that you are about to kill them if they don't leave their homes because you are going to drop high explosives there, then subsequenty targeting them on the only road out of town... you don't call that savagery?

And ise, I didn't complain to the mods, bu you should refrain from putting such images into the post...

Is that to say that if a militant group from the US decided to do terrorist attacks on another country, you would not protest when that country started bombing US cities?

I do hope they step in... But they only do what the US wants... and it seems like the US has given a green light to the raids.

You hope who steps in?

Lebanon has no ability whatsoever. The lebanese government doesn't have half the military power of Hezbollah. We already have Israel bombing us. We don't need Hezbollah too!
What's happening is for the benefits of both Hezbollah and Israel. This way Hezbollah has an excuse not to disarm since they can claim defense and Israel can attack us claiming they're attacking Hezbollah.

Do you feel your country was safer when Syria was there? It seems Lebanon cannot stand on it's own. From the little I know, Syria did little to beef up Lebonese army for the purpose of self-determination.

And yet Israel existed over 2000 years ago as a nation. Hence, the starting point of 1948 is invalid, which was my point
So, since native Americans have been in this country at least as long, are you going to answer my question?
I would like to see this too. Except Am. Indians would have even more reason to fight us for the land, as it was our desendants who took it.

Palestinians did not take Israel from the ancient Israelites. I am so tired of this being trotted out as an excuse to kick people off the land in which they have been living for centuries.

Obviously Jeruselum has had ancient temples, mosques, and shrines of all three religions, Judism, Islam, and later Christianity. All consider they have Holy sites in the city. Like most ancient cities conquerers built their temples on top of the ruins of existing temples, so going back to ancient evidence really isn't going to clarify who has claim to Jeruselum. Build dozens of replicas of Jeruselum in many countries and quit fighting over one little town.

Israelis may not be, but their actions can be entirely savage. You seem to be saying that kicking innocent people's teeth in is a good thing. Pity that it is not limited to only teeth. Lebanese women and children are being blown apart by Israeli airstrikes. Seig Heil, indeed.

Any follower of the bloodsoaked "Prince of Peace" who criticizes Islam for the violence of its followers, obviously is clueless about even the history of his own religion.

Third of Lebanon casualties are children, says UN
Quote:
Nearly one third of all casualties in the Lebanon-Israel conflict have been children, according to the United Nations’ emergency relief co-ordinator, Jan Egeland.

He said it appeared neither Hezbollah nor the Israelis seemed to care about civilian suffering.

Nearly a third of the dead or wounded were children and the wounded could not be helped because roads and bridges had been cut by Israeli air strikes.

Here is the most heartless response you will probably ever hear from me...

Posting pictures of dead children gets no sympathy from me. What do you expect would happen?

Israel has the best pilots in the world and the best planes in the world.

Who wants to get into a pissing contest with their military superior?

How much bullshit did they think Israel would take until Israel just said, "Fuck it, and fuck you" and decided to attack?

This same thing happened in World War II.

Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.
Winston Churchill called the U.S. a "Sleeping Giant".

That Sleeping Giant decided to say, "Fuck it, and fuck you" and dropped an atomic bomb.

Japan didn't stop. The Sleeping Giant said, "Sorry, maybe you didn't hear us the first time" and dropped another bomb.

This is what happens in war. Civilians die. Innocent people are killed because their gov'ts would rather be right than protect their citizens from a country with superior capability with no reservations about killing civilians.

If anyone is to blame for what Israel is doing, I hate to say it, but it's not Israeli gov't. It's the people in the gov'ts that think they can get in a pissing contest with Israel.

Quite a rant you cranked up there, Fonceai.

Quote:

Oh yeah? How many? Three? Four hundred and thirty-seven? "As many as it takes?"

This is bullshit. Israel is (of its own volition) bound by the law of war. (And no, pointing out that its opponents ignore that law is no excuse. Israel is the civilized resident in the neighbourhood remember. And the rules are non-reciprocal; look it up.) The law of war requires proportionality. Judging by the events of recent days, Israel is a serious outlaw.

Imagine the kind of pix we'd be seeing if hundreds of Israeli civilians had been killed in recent days.

Saying that you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs -- as you do Fonceai -- is intellectually lazy.

I'm not sure if this was directed at me, but it wouldn't get to that point. If a group operating in the U.S. was doing terrorist attacks on another country, we would sweep them up and put an end to it. Apparantly Lebanon can't do that, but even if they couldn't, they should have asked for help from the international community to do it. You don't think that if Lebanon asked, Israel, the UN, or NATO would help get Hezbollah out?

I've said this all along. No TRUE practitioner of any of these religions would bother fighting over this god-forsaken (literally) piece of dirt. Everyone just leave and turn the area into a pilgrimage site... We can pick some other spots for everyone to go to. In fact, why don't we just give the Israelis North Dakota? It's like 20 times more land than Israel and no one here would even notice...

No one has been living there for centuries. Their families may have been, but so what? Different parts of my family lived in Ireland, Germany, and England for centuries... annnnnnnnddd what does that mean to me? Not enough to hang out there when it starts raining rockets, that's for sure.

War is hell. Are the Israelis supposed to sit around and let Hezbollah kill Israeli women and children? Just because the Israelis are more efficient and powerful doesn't mean they have to sit back and take it.

i'm not signing the petition either.

hezbollah is a terrorist organization, and nobody in lebanon (including when the syrians ran the show) ever did anything to disarm them. they miscalculated when they attacked israel and now they're getting what they deserve. the only thing these dumb shits respect seems to be brute strength. it's certainly unsettling how civilians are always victims of wars, but israel is right imo to seek to destroy hezbollah's capabilities - which includes its ability to resupply itself. and as a terrorist organization, hezbollah loves to use civilian locations to launch military attacks from.

people say that israel has gone too far, that this exceeds the "normal" response of an anti-terrorist operation.. does it really? this isn't a terrorist cell they're fighting, it's a full fledged terrorist army with its own quasi-state.
