It was a stunning turnaround for Reed, who was making his first bid for elective office after working for years as a behind-the-scenes campaign strategist and leading the Christian Coalition and the state Republican Party. He vied with state Sen. Casey Cagle for the GOP nomination in a primary race that appeared closer than expected in recent months because of Reed’s work with Abramoff, who pleaded guilty to fraud and corruption earlier this year. In attack ads and televised debates, Cagle hammered away at Reed’s connections to Abramoff, and asked whether Reed could face criminal charges for accepting more than $5.3 million from two Indian tribes. © 2006 The Associated Press. | Look Stuff Up Posts: 810 | I agree, the guy was always kind of like the unions, he would put a political gun at the heads of some candidates if they did not accommodate the people he represented. He was best as a behind the scenes political strategist, I don't know what ever got in his head to run for office. He has no personality or really anything you would want to vote for. |

Like you, they either didn't like him or didn't even know he was running. They, like you, are glad he did not win. They agree with you as I do 100%. The guy seems to be hated on all sides. Maybe he should go into WWE wrestling. | |
