| Look Stuff Up Posts: 810 | North Korea has always said and done crazy things because it has been rewarded with stuff for the bad behavior. It is a starving nation, we feed it, much of Europe has been feeding it and China has been feeding it most of all the energy in power it operates with. First, if China didn't like something North Korea was doing, it could instantly pull the plug and leave NK in the dark. Outside of the leader of NK being crazy, some reasons for him acting up might be: #1 China might want NK to launch missiles hoping to get the USA to use it's new missile defense system. China would love to observe it in action to find ways to bypass it's effectiveness. #2 Chinese had a meeting a while ago here in the USA where they were embarrassed internationally by a woman who got in illegally and was screaming about all the human rights offenses in China. NK could be China's revenge of sorts. At least a form of revenge in that they are not ending it when they do have the power to pressure full cooperation. I'm not saying what I am posting is all the reasons for what is happening, but it could logically be part of this whole picture. |
