Clarke says WMD undermined trust

link. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/5140614.stm .
Quote:
.Ex-home secretary Charles Clarke says the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq "undermined public confidence" in the "war on terror".
He told the Evening Standard the Forest Gate raids had then "reinforced" doubts about intelligence services' abilities.
As this british Ex. home secretary say there was no wmd weapons.

Great, what did the world say prior to the invasion?

Oh yeah, they were there. So the world doesn't trust itself anymore... good to know.

Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route?

If memory serves, Mr.V, the 'world' was saying 'give us more time to find them'.

I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

How many years did the "world" want?

Until they knew? Until Saddam died of old age?

Until a WMD attack occured in a civilian target.. like oh say New York, Paris, London?

Oh that's right, those were unfounded fears because.. well there were none. We didn't know that then, and now we know it was safe to keep playing cat and mouse with Saddam...

20/20 hindsight is NOT wisdom.

How do you know what the world said? In the past, you've made claims that the Russian Intel service, the French, the British, and other intel services said there were WMD's in Iraq. How do you know this? Because bush told you so?

The quoted article is about one man, who's in a position to know, saying that public trust had been undermined by what has happened, and you immediately try to obfuscate the issue by making claims, which you have absolutely no way to back up, about what the world said. Geez, try to keep some semblance of reality about yourself.

heh, and rushing into a war (without any proper planning) based on horrendous "intelligence" is your example of wisdom? shooting first, and asking questions later is wisdom for retards..
