The United Nations is holding a conference beginning this week in New York that ironically coincides with our national 4th of July holiday. It’s ironic because those attending the conference want to do away with one of our most fundamental constitutional freedoms—the right to bear arms.

The stated goal of the conference is to eliminate trading in small arms, but the real goal is to advance a worldwide gun control movement that ultimately supercedes national laws, including our own 2nd Amendment. Many UN observers believe the conference will set the stage in coming years for an international gun control treaty.

Personally? The UN has more pressing concerns to address. But they won't.

There is a very prominant monument on the grounds of the United Nations building--a greatly oversized sculpture of a revolver with its barrel tied in a knot. Who is not capable of understanding its meaning?

Interesting that Ron Paul, Libertarian turned Republican, is the only one really talking about this.....then again, not really.


Global banks, equal global bank pressures, equal global bank demands being met.

Global banks want global government, cashless societies (with RFID accounts, and digital credits.) and they want complete, and total cash trackability by that global government.

Its called economic enslavement, servitude or slavery, whichever you prefer.

You are absolutely correct. Years ago "conspiracy theorists" were considered paranoid or borderline certifiable when they predicted what is happening right now. From National ID cards to the New World Order to Global Gun Control.

This is like cheap paperback fiction becoming reality. I am afraid...very afraid. Where are the rest of our Volconvo pundits on this issue?

I'm down with the world wanting to limit the amount of weapons the large countries sell to third world country warlords. It's the reason we have so many problems in the middle east. Our oil policies dictated our foreign policies and we armed cruel men and they oppressed their people and when the people rose up, we armed the warlords some more to secure the cheapest possible ______. (enter any valuable good).

I'm not down with giving up the right to bear arms unless every weapon is destroyed on the planet simultaneously. Even then...someone will make more so the gov't will need some and then if the gov't needs some then I'll need some and so on.

The neo-cons are going to sensationalize this so that it appears as though somebody else wants to take the right to bear arms away from the average american when it's actually them. If you follow the gun legislation, you'll find a recent ban on assault weapons in a republican controlled gov't. They don't want us to have guns either. Not unless you're a certain loyal type. You know the type. These days it's written on their forehead. I can watch a person walk to their car from a restaurant and tell whose still in with neo-cons %100. There's actually so few... I'm seriously questioning the MSM's portrayal of things these days. Yeah, well that's my take.

I compare my reality with the famous television show The Twilight Zone, because it really does seem like things have irreversably changed, and I can't wake up. The dream is never over.
