And I find it quite significant seeing as Prescott's son and grandson (who would later be able to buy their way into political power with Nazi money) used to eat off of plates and silverware with swastikas on them during their tenure at the new england liberal headquarters known as Yale University.

I would ask for a source for this factoid, but it's still irrelevant. Lots of people made money off of World War II. Such is the nature of man.

Kennedy was similarly bankrolled when he ran for office, since allegations still remain that there was bribery and ballot box-stuffing.

Since (a) neither Kennedy nor Bush were responsible for their fathers'/grandfathers' actions, and (b) both of the patriarchs of those families are dead, I don't see how it reflects on either of their Presidencies.

That said, this still is a spectacular tangent to an observation that had nothing whatsoever to do with capitalism. You can post more if you want, and I'll read it, but I'm not going to respond. I have no interest in a debate over capitalism or specific capitalists. If you want one, go start your own thread.

Yep. Simple reason -- Bush himself made no money on it, and I very seriously doubt Bush's grandfather knew he was profiting from that same destruction (if he was only caught just after the war had started, then he made no money from six million deaths).

It's also irrelevant that the same thing you said above also applies to Kennedy. They are not responsible for those deaths, and they can't be held for the trespasses of their fathers (assuming their patriarchs even knew what they were subsidizing, given the fact that virtually no one did until after the war had ended).

Realistically, I'm probably benefitting right now from the economic surge brought about by World War II, and so are you. It's easy to criticize the evils of other countries when you're still living off the riches you made raping them, huh?

Now, as I said before, stop trying to ham-fistedly segue into a questionable debate about the ethics of the grandfather of a man (whom I don't even like and wasn't even defending) who, along with millions upon millions of others like him, benefitted from a war that ended about half a century ago. I'm not interested. Drop it.

I'm not going to drop it when you post falsehoods. "Millions and Millions" of Americans didn't profit from the genocide. Brown, Brothers, Harriman was a PRIVATE firm that ran 50 percent of Nazi steel. Hardly a drop in the bucket.
