I can't say I'm surprised. I still think the Minutemen is a good idea though.

But keep in mind two important things. This is an ABC affiliate (IMO the worst and most unscrupulous network on television) and these "investigative reports" have been wrong before, so the jury is still out for me.

When ABC bothers to look at how The Rainbow Coalition (not to mention the UN) is spending the money it says are to be used for the good of mankind, I'll worry about what they choose to say about the Minutemen.

Those who did so would be better off pressuring their government to do the job that the Republic is taxed to accomplish.

A ripoff in a publicity-laden private border control effort? I am SHOCKED!

I have a sneaking suspicion the people who donated had a pretty good idea of how much "pressure" they could exert on the government and just how far it would get them.

It would make for a fascinating survey to get the donors' political affiliation, age, income and their feelings in general regarding this government.
