The Wish

I wish i could sit with Plato and debate philosophy.
I wish i could sit and meditate with Buddha.
I wish i could walk a road with Jesus and talk about brotherly love.
I wish i could dance with the witches around the fire wraped in moonlight.
I wish i could could hang out with Tomas Jefferson and talk about democarcy.
I wish i could visit Dawin at a musem and have a chat.
I wish i could could do a rain dance with Black Elk.
I wish i could be in Eqypt and talk to King Tuk about the pyramids.
I wish i could take a ride with the little green Elves in their UFO.

I wish that i knew them all and could learn from all those great people that so influenced humanity. With a spirit of oneness and unity.

Opening the mind and letting it all come through, the thundering horses of the four directions.

Opening all the windows of my Jefferson Airplane, and blowng my mind with all the voices of historical importance.

That would be my religion.

I wish I could have been on the road to Emmaus when Jesus preached of Himself out of the Old Testament from beginning to end. what greater person to explain the messianic prophecies than the Messiah Himself?

You need to hook up with Doc Brown and Marty McFly and get yourself a DeLorean. :)

Meeting and talking with fascinating people would indeed be the best part of inventing time travel.

You have my permission to do that - it wrote it and it is not a copy from somewhere else so no copyright laws would apply as far as I know. - they can add their own copyright about future reprints. Technosoul.

I wish I could walk with Elvis and learn his dance moves.
He got his dance from Muddy Waters, but at least we got movies of him dancing so no problem, go to a hot gospel meeting in any Afraican American community and just "let go to the music". And you will be on your way to Elvis-ism.

He once took offense when a reporter asked if his rock and roll dance was from his holy roller background at his chruch where he grew up. He answered "we do not call our self holy rollers (he gave the correct name) and then said that chruch music is spiritual, and that rock and roll is not. So he did not believe the two are connected. From an radio interview in Texas.

I was around there when Elvis first became popular and so already did that, that wish I have experienced first hand. Had a Elvis duckbutt hair cut and a black jacket when in highschool.

Also saw Muddy Waters doing "can't get satisfied" and he sure got his legs moving, but the one Chuck Berry did - his duck walk - is way too hard to duplicate.

You should have been there, what a blast.

And it was a land of a 1000 dances, from the Mambo to the Twist and on to the Moonwalk.

Elvis was more then just a another singer, he was a one man revolution in action.

Okay, but give me a little time, (do not recall what my e-mail address was - nearly never use it) but my son can arrange for the transaction and I can provide my real name for that purpose (if needed).

just click on the link titled "The WRIT Teen Writers' Spot" watch out, since you are not a teen, I might have to interview you to get your piece on the site, although I believe we might be reverting to being a website for new writers and teens, which might include you in the group. that aall depends on whether or not you are new to writing or not.

you can check out my book at the link titled A New Bond.

Another poem (or story).

Mother moon was among all the little stars twinkling in the sky one night, and this tiny star was unhappy and cryed "I want to be like that big star, the sun. for he dominates the daytime and does so much more for the earth then we little stars do, everyone on earth repects the sun Ra, and he gets to shine much brighter then the rest of us"

The wise mother moon then said to the little star "but if all the stars were that big and bright the earth would burn up and we would have no night time to cool her down. So the earth needs the cool of the EVEning, and the night. But with all you little stars working together in unity the earth people can have enough light so they do not get lost in the darkness, so as a unified collective you each play an important role".

the little star felt comforted - for a lot of stars working together is as important as the big star.

The Wall

well, since we are all posting poetry here, I might as well post my own. I wrote this one in a conference for the Florida SIDS Alliance, and found out afterward that one had been published with a similar theme in the Chicken Soup for the Teenage Sould Letters Edition.

“The Wall” by Billy Sculley

There is a wall within my heart,

I cannot try to break apart,

I tried to build a perfect wall,

But even so there are still flaws,

As stone by stone I built my part,

So you must make it break apart.
