Popular beliefs influencing Christianity and Islam

We are in the Resurrection. Geologist and anthropologiest are unearthing the past. This is not a debate, but just information about the beliefs that influenced Christianity. Its intention is to increase understanding of such things as Muslim terrorism, as well as spell the belief that Christianity is a pure nad unique religion unlike all the others of its time.

Wikipedia
Quote:
Zoroaster (Persian: زرتشت, Gujarati:ઝરથુશ્ત્ર) was an ancient Iranian prophet who preached in Bactria, and the founder of Zoroastrianism, which was the national religion of the Sassanian Empire of Persia, and played an important role in the earlier Achaemenean and Parthian regimes. Zoroastrianism is also one of the oldest known monontehiest religions. The original form of his name was Zarathushtra (Zaraθuštra), but he is usually known in English as Zoroaster (after the Greek version, Ζωροάστρης, Zoroastres). In Persian the name takes the form of Zartosht.

Zoroaster is generally accepted as a historical figure, but efforts to date Zoroaster vary widely. Scholarly estimates are usually roughly near 1700 BC. Others, however, give earlier estimates, making him a candidate as the founder of the earliest religion based on revealed scripture, while still others place him in the 6th century BC, which would make him contemporary to the rise of the Achaemenids.

Remember the debate we had sometime back about the story of Jesus fitting the stories of other sacred people?

Zarathustra's conception was divine.

Quote:
"His conception was divine: his guardian angel entered into a haoma plant, and passed with its juice into the body of a preist as the latter offered divine scarifice; at the same time a ray of heaven's glory entered the bosom of a maid of noble linaage. The preist espoused the maid, the imprisioned angel mingled with the imprisoned ray, and Zaratgystra begab to be. He laughed aloud the very day of his birth. and the evil spirits that gathered around every life fled from him in tumult and terror. Out of his great love for wisdom and righteousness he withdrew from the society of men, and chose to live in a mountian wilderness on cheese and fruits of the soil. (keep in mind the story of Jesus and Satan okay?) The Devil tempted him, but to no avail. His breast pieced with a sword (so was Jesus pierced with sword), and his entails were filled with molten lead; he did not complain, but clung to his faith in AhuraMazda-the Lord of Light- as supreme god. Ahura-Masda apeared to him and gave into his hands the Avesta, or Book of Knowledge. and Wisdom, and bade him to preach it to mankind.'

I find Christianity very paradoxical and confusing. It calls all spirituality that is not limited to the bible something from the darkness or superstition, but I see no difference between the spirituality of Christianity and all the rest.

Perhaps you can explain why everyone else's spiritual is wrong, and only Christian spirituality is right? I fear if you are going to argue against spirituality, they you must not be spiritual. But then Christians turn around and talk about their spirituality? Huh?

:-)
I take it as a joke.

I have no idea where you have got such data from and/or may develope it yourself.
There is not much to argue on (or about), since the data you submit carries some XV-century (or earlier) stereotypes or alike.

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Hey, let's debate. To do that, we need to be on the same page. How can I debate you when I don't understand what you're trying to say? Afraid of my response?
