Why would people join the Islamic religion instead of fundamental Christian religion?

In my observations it is because many believe that the Christain faith is a white man's religion, and that it promotes white domination. It is not so much that they do not like America but that they do not like the idea that white people are so dominating. Many people in our black communities are joining the Islamic faith because it is the best alternative to belonging to a white man's religion, in their eyes. Islam is also very popular thoughout Africa. The arabian ( if I can use that name to cover the middle east?) are the most outspoken voices protesting white domination in worldly politics. The Jewish people have their own "in-house" religion that is not wide open to people outside of thier nationality - where as Islam is opens its doors of all races - with a sense of equality because it is not supervised by just Arabs and certainly not just by rich white folks.

I do not wish to call it the religion of the underdogs, because that would sound a bit offensive to those in that religion.

What do you mean? People of any ethnicity can convert to Judaism, it just doesn't actively proselytize like Christianity and Islam do.
