Joshua was a monotheist. there is nothing to contest that. truth is only true if there is proof. Amenhotep was not that type. he attempted to turn Egypt to ANOTHER god in a monotheistic fashion. like I said. find some proof. given that people back then were still living into the triple digits and the amount of kids in a family averaging in at 7, the growth would be short and acute. there are hieroglyphs to account for the wholesale slaughter of slaves' babies (unnamed group of people, but it coincides very neatly with the Bible.) Moses came to the scene and said "I Am that I Am has sent me." that is the Hebrew word YHWH. he said "YHWH has sent me" in case you aren't up to speed on this particular passage. secondly, without a source, I won't accept even a lick of this. and if it isn't a reliable source that is impartial, I won't accept it. that means it can't be Christian, Jewish, or Atheist, because all three groups have a bias in this matter. the most impartial source I have seen is Traditions and Encounters.[/QUOTE As you have admitted "all three groups have a bias in this matter." The stakes are high so any of the three would do what ever it takes to be "THE ONE" even if it means using dishonesty. End result is: which ever one can be proven? true will have unlimited power and wealth and that is the only goal of religionists (catholics being a good example) and nothing to do with honoring God. Question Authority God created man in His Image and likeness, and man returned the compliment and created God in his image and likeness... Last edited by Amuse; Mar 17, 2006 at 08:43 am. Catholics care little about God and are an embarrasment to the Christian beliefs and their God. no one who is truly Christian will require any works of the law to lead to salvation. God never does anything half-way. that includes salvation. He came all the way, the only thing we must do is accept it. all the works of the law do is to assure more blessings in heaven. a person who is constantly witnessing for Christ will receive a soul-winner's crown. the one who is constantly doing work without expecting a reward receives a servent's crown. the rewards in heaven are not for personal consumption either. when we get there, we will get the privilege to cast our crown(s) at Jesus's feet. He saved me, He deserves it. most people who are in sports understand the concept of giving 110% of your effort while you are on the field. well, earth is my football field, and I will do my best to give every bit of that 110.
