Lincoln, for all his faults during wartime (would have made Ashcroft proud), is a fascinating character precisely because of his religious/irreligious character. I've wanted to read a few biographies on him for some time, but I just haven't gotten to that. I went to Furman and Shi is a pretty smart and interesting guy. I met him once and he still remembers my name (I think he's like that with everyone though). Not that you would care.
