| The Truth Posts: 1,723 | First, why don't you list your definition of a conservative or liberal. In general, I would have to say that Jesus would be a libertarian or conservative, depending on how you define those terms. While liberals believe they are doing "God's work" by forcing government to help the poor and disadvantaged, they fail to realize that Jesus Christ commanded individuals to do these things. Requiring government mandates and confiscatory taxes in order to help poor people isn't what he had in mind. Ultimately, I believe Jesus would want the least intrusive government possible. |
