Actually I justthought of something. If a guy goes round murdering innocents and then in court pleads insanity because God told me to,what is the likely result? Also would you want a religious judge on the case or not?
Funny thing about that. If it is a Christian mother that bashes her kids heads in with a rock because god told her to then she is insane, but of course if any muslim terorist is captured and they explain that they killed Americans because god told them to then they are not insane. When people claim that morals come from god it is very difficult to see how any act of a person in the name of god could be anything else but completely acceptable.

This is my point entirely to a large degree. What happens when God enters the picture in the courtroom? Among a religious population is a "God told me to" acceptable in any way shape or form? If not why not?

I wouldn't recommend sex, drugs and insanity for everyone, but its always worked for me.

I say this as Christian: Here in America, anyone who commits a violent act and says “God told me to do it” is either judged to be mad or a terrorist.

And if the madness involves Christianity then they get treatment and if it doesn't then they don't. In some sense this is a backhanded recognition that Christianity is crazy but Islam is not.

hahaha, true when you consider that both parties claim to be talking to god who is to say that either one of them isn't yet the terrorist gets believed. Priceless.

Of course not..why talk about your lack of belief...doesnt really make sense if you dont have a message to deliver.
Mental picture of atheists going door to door trying to convince people not to go to their church.
