Congrats. Now here's what I believe. 1. There is no God, or any higher power. 2. The bible is fiction. It's a good read to be interpreted with an open mind, but NOT something to be taken literally. The purpose of the bible is to establish moral values, nothing more. 3. Attending any religious service or praying to a higher power is a waste of time and energy. I live my life for myself, my friends, and my family. No need to waste any of my time or worries worshipping a higher power that is impossible to prove legitimate... 4. My death will mark the end of my existence. There will be no judgement day. My time on this planet was meant for myself and the others involved in my life. I do not need to prove myself to anyone besides who I truely care about. | |

| trendsetter Location: cleveland Posts: 317 | Here's one question that has boggled my mind: How can someone believe that there is one all-mighty god who is the creator and helping hand to every person in this world, when there are so many born into misery? What about the poor, dirty, starving, stinking, diseased, homeless, nameless child who lives his life in captivity only to be slaughtered by his mother's captors after a long life of struggle and suffering? Where is his god? |

| Bacon Sizzle Posts: 287 | CHRISTIAN ! The genesis of christianty was the Damascus Road Event. The first people that were called Christians were in Antioch. "Barnabas departed for Tarus to seek Saul. And when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch." - (Acts 11:26 ) King "Agrippa said to.Paul, 'You almost persude me to become a Christian.' And Paul said, 'I would to God that not only you, but also all who hear me today, might become both and altogether such as I am'" - ( Acts 26:28-29 ) Saul/St.Paul was the very first Christian according to what is written here. Before the Damascus road event their were no christians, but the disciples of Jesus were called the people of The Way On the road to Damascus, Saul was a wretched man and near the time his death in Rome he confessed to be a wretched man as written.in Roman 7:14-20 +24-25. Saul/St.Paul's deeds were not according to his words, and as a result he was not a disciple of the Lord. When a man does not walk his talk, he is a liar. John, who was a close friend of Jesus said according to 'The First Epistle of John' 3:4-6, "Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor know Him" Saul/St.Paul did not know the Jesus that John knew because Saul/St.Paul said "--- I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree that the law is good. So then it is no longer I that do it, but sin which dwells within me. For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh, I can will what is right, but I cannot do it. For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I do. Now if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I that do it, but sin which dwells within me. --- Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? --- So then, I of myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin." - ( Roman 7:14-20 +24-25 ) This confession of Saul/St.Paul was written in the present tense shortly before his death. Saul/St.Paul's personality was of the type to take control 'highjack' the movement that Jesus had started. > Why? For those that know the personality of Jesus and His testimony according to what is written in the gospels, 'may know' that Saul/St.Paul is not the chief apostle of Jesus. Peace be with you, Paul |

| Bacon Sizzle Posts: 287 | Saul/St.Paul wrote, " --- Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? ---" "He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the begining, For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the 'works of the devil'. Who has been born of God does not sin. for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God." - ( 1John 3: 8-9 ) According to what is in my two last postings, was Saul/St.Paul an apostle of Jesus the Son of God? Peace be with you, Paul |
