| BANNED Location: Los Angeles Posts: 3,203 | The Tree of Eden and Why Christians Shouldn't Teach Christianity One of the most confusing messages ever enveloped within the Christian faith is that of proselytizing. In Genisis God gave two strict commands to Adam and Eve. One of these was not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Once they disobeyed this command they were expelled from eden. When then is it that Christians go about trying to educate those on their senses of right and wrong when it is this knowledge which the bible condemns from the get-go. |

Our pathway back to communion with The Father God is through a desire to be changed BY HIM, by the means of the Holy Spirit living within. Everyone already has the old nature as the basis of their original personality. It is selfish and needs to change. We can't change ourselves. We are powerless against our old sinful nature. GOD HIMSELF does the changing we need to be back in His family of love and mercy. Ever met any humble Christians? I hope every "christian" you have met is not as arrogant as some on the "Christian Right." I think(IMHO) that many who claim to be christian are in fact, quite unredeemed... Basically, as I pointed out in another message chain, the Bible is in fact the "tree of knowedge between good and evil". Not only does it contain the information about good and evil but our present Bibles are printed on paper which is in fact a tree (tree pulp). So the physical paper is a tree and the knowledge is about good and evil (right and wrong). The sin was to use that knowledge to become as the gods by becoming judgemental or "looking down or nose" at others in a kind of egocentric sense of self-righteousness. Thus, like a warning lable on a prescription drug, the first chapter warned humanity to keep the Bible out of the reach of those who are immature, a warning lable, not to read the Bible without a prescription from the spirit within, which most Chirstains that failed to do an likewise do not even know how to do. Technosoul.

Adam failed to obey God. A second Adam was sent to repair the damage the first Adam inflicted on mankind. <!--QuoteBegin-Suburbanite, When then is it that Christians go about trying to educate those on their senses of right and wrong when it is this knowledge which the bible condemns from the get-go.[/quote] It is therefore very important to spread the good news that the Second Adam, Jesus, has repaired the damage inflicted by Adam.

Hmmm? How come none of the other newspapers have any of this good news? Gee, how could they be so wrong as to publish bad news, they should be stoned. Hmmm? Now where did a get a nutty idea like this? |

The good news is that if you agree you get to be one of the saints passing judgement instead of those who must dodge the all those falling balls fire. |

| Molten Ash Posts: 129 | Concerning the guilt of Adam and the reference to his transgression by Jesus and his disciples; the lesson points to the warning Jesus gave of intermarriage that had the capability of taking all the Jews and other tribal names away, thereby leaving no name or place as a nation called Israel. Intermarriage meant diverse offspring and offspring via intermarriage was a definite threat to "life" of name and place in sons of Jacob-Israel. Also, the only sign in Noah was given which evidenced how intermarriage could take "them all away". Was Jesus a racist? Looks to be his character for sure. What was Adam's sin? He intermarried his tradition with "begotten sons". This may point to confederate tribes joining together.. (The "trees" of the Garden of whom Adam and Eve tried to hide themselves.) *Which may point to specific tribes of people called Amorites and Hittites. (Your father was an Amorite and your mother an Hittite - OT) Adam lived 930 years and he died within the day of his creation - "a thousand years as one day and one day as a thousand years". The "evil" knowledge can be identified as anything not given to Adam to be used for his own tradition. And the story states that God had given Adam everything he needed to survive in his own tradition. But Adam evidently wanted to scout around and discover what was greener on the other side of the fence, so to speak. So Adam is said to have been the one who knew better, while his wife Eve was the one who had been deceiv ed by the lie of Satan, that old serpent. And THIS is why the "woman" is to keep silent in the churches. The "woman" of course in representation of a/the Covenant, or "mother of all living". The second man Adam represents "Christ", the covenant, the woman, whose husband is God. Joined together, "let no man put as under". Tradition is speaking in regard to loyalty and again showing how this retains a people in name and place in the world. Specifically the lesson and story is in regards to sons of Jacob called Israel. |

I have said before, Abraham came from the Sumerian city Ur and he carried the stories of Ur with him. These stories had to be corrected when it was decided there is one God and not several. Likely a result of contact with the people of an Eygpt pharaoh who insisted on the worship of one God. Enki angered the goddess Ninhursag and she cursed him to death. A fox convinced Ninhursag to let Enki live and in comes Niniti a healing goddess. Her name means "the lady who makes live" and "the lady of the rib". In the translation, it isn't a story of gods and goddesses, but a story of a man, and a woman made from his rib, who is "the lady who makes live". The people of Sumer carried a concept of sin, and this explanation is getting too long. I hope there is interest and the discussion continues.
