    Revealing clothes cause quakes

Revealing clothes cause quakes - cleric - World - NZ Herald News

A senior Iranian cleric says women who wear revealing clothing and behave promiscuously are to blame for earthquakes.

"Many women who do not dress modestly ... lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes," Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi was quoted as saying by Iranian media.

"What can we do to avoid being buried under the rubble?" Sedighi asked during a prayer sermon last Friday.

"There is no other solution but to take refuge in religion and to adapt our lives to Islam's moral codes."
of course. all the poor men getting hard ons and bumping into things and making vibrations that cause the earth to move. it makes so much sense.

And people wonder why I'm against religion. Faith shuts down your reasoning center.

A man said to the universe:
    "Sir, I exist!"
    "However," replied the universe,
"The fact has not created in me
    A sense of obligation."

Not quite, or atheism never would have began to exist. In spite of faith, reason prevails, and does so best when a society is allowed to develop a strong intellectual civilization. Europe did it, and I believe the Middle East will do it in the future.

well, to a certain extent, faith I define as believing without reason (or sufficient) which I think should be pretty close to what most people define faith to be. And by definition, it's without reason.

This article was on Landover, they seemed to agree that the theory made sense.

Isn’t it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?
