I could piece it all together but honestly, I don't think it would change the way you feel since strong feelings tend to distort reality when reality conflicts with them.

To continue the derailment of my thread.. love is not always nice. My child might want to walk across the road and me - the loving parent should give the child what they want to make them happy...instead I say no because there are cars coming - so in this instance, I would be saying no to someone I loved because I put safety before making them happy. To love someone involves hurting them in the short term sometimes.

Did Jesus have brothers or sisters?
The Bible tells us that Jesus has brothers, so how can the Catholic Church tell us that Mary was a virgin her whole life?
The difficulty, as is often the case, is translation. It’s so easy to assume that Jesus and the Gospel writers spoke English and that we have the exact words originally written. This is simply not the case. The passage in question was originally written in Hebrew and the word used meant literally “closest blood relative”. This is often translated to mean brother but if a person has no brothers it can just as easily mean cousin or a number of other family relationships. The word we see is “brother”. The word written is something much less specific.
Let’s pretend that doesn’t matter and let’s insist that we read the Bible at face value as modern, English speakers. Why does Jesus give Mary to be the beloved disciple’s mother in John 19:25-27?
If Jesus had other blood brothers & sisters this would have been illegal according to the law. His brothers & sisters would never have allowed it. How could he give his mother to the beloved disciple if she had other children?
Even Protestant theologians have said that Jn 19 is enough to prove Mary’s perpetual virginity. So much for the bible disproving it!

Mary's virginity might well be a product of mistranslation:
The Translator's ResponsibilityThe Old Testament talks about almah 'young woman,' not bethulah 'virgin.' However, the scholars in the 3rd century BC translated the Hebrew almah as parthenos in Greek. Thus the 'young woman' in Hebrew metamorphosed into a 'virgin' in Greek—and she has remained a virgin ever since in translations across the world. The notion of 'virgin birth' was born, thanks to a mistranslation.

I live on an inner-tract, residental street that is long, wide, and devoid of stop signs or speed bumps. Although the speed-limit is a rather safe 30 mph, every hour or two someone drives by at speeds between 40 and 60. The latter speed can easily surprise an inexperienced street crosser as well as kill on impact.
Setting them up once they reached the age of two, all four of my kids got a healthy, naked-butt, wooden spoon swat each for venturing into the street after I was sure they understood the restriction. Only happened that once for each as well.
When I heard the complaint, "That hurt!"
I replied, "It's supposed to hurt" but in the back of my mind, I knew they had no idea how that swat compared to being mowed down by a one-ton auto.

Perverts pay good money for all sorts of things I suppose, even women trying on shoes.
Does pervert interest somehow place a value judgement on the activity?

Yes, rather naive of me I suppose.
