Or I can negotiate the price of web services with a client, or work under a deadline. Now, give me my money bishop.

I know that isn't the best example, but I'm trying not to be too technical and loose everyone. Will you be paying me in cash?
It's obvious that you don't value a formal education. I submit that you have not explored all of the avenues of formal education that are available to you. The real world intangibles you speak of are all taught in demanding classes in the right majors at good schools.

A good school is much more challenging then sitting in a seat for X number of years and "guessing" correctly 65% of the time. As someone who struggled with college only to figure it out and do well in later years, I take that statement as an insult. If you acknowledge that many people value a college education, and you think it is so easy, why not do it yourself simply for the value, if there is no work in it?

I'm not saying college is the answer for every occupation, but for many careers, certainly including the information technology field I believe you are in, and most assuredly including my choosen field of law, a college education is not only valuable but worthwhile.

I'm working on something simlar to that. It's called a "Content Management System" and I've built one to handle that. I've got my first project using my CMS. It's called "Poker Knight". There is no official website up yet, but I put up a summary of the how the CMS works on my free site (LINK)

Social classes has existed since the dawn of man....Our nature is to progress and be all we can be.

Everybody wants to be the best at something, right? Humans want to be recognized through accomplishments and achievments. Classes exist in all types of socity, including messageboards. There is a sense of leadership and best poster on this forum, wither we know it or not.

College education is not for everybody but to make it FREE would go against our human nature. How would our monkey ancestors evolved to be the best and smartest if we helped every out every species to become the best and brightest. Instead we survived the weather, we were smart enough to develop clothes. The monkeys that were not smart, died off.

In conclusion I think we need to let the ego, just let things happen.

Poor people I will give you advice!
1.) Take what you are given, and get the best education you can
2.) Realize that even though you are poor you are still contributing to the development of the world around you. Just because you do not have the resources to help you become a leader in your specific interests does not mean you need to preach how the system should conform to you!

I am starting to feel poor people are the ones who have the egotistical nature to them.

Example:

a Man preaches society in America is bad and immoral.......he gets through to all America.....what happens? He becomes leader! What does he do with that leadership? Well that is subjective seeing how we do not know what the man would do in power. Who knows what having total respect from all Americans is like, who knows how it will feel when all America listens to you.

I got an amazing education in my public school. There are those who work the system and those who don't, and it especially has nothing to do with luck. That said, good luck finding a REAL education in a private school, and good luck finding a good one in a public school.

Because if they truly were better and brighter, and just not simply richer, they'd get better grades, be more persistant to get a better job, and still be better off. Education is a base. It's the race. Everyone should be allowed to participate. Who gets to the finish line is a whole other issue. Teaching people what humanity knows (education), so that they can offer what they know based on this, or at least work with it, is what the system is for.

Only if he's got the money to do it. That's why the two candidates I have to pick from are absolutely sub par. It's proof to me that the brightest are not always the wealthiest. They simply spread enough money around so people stop caring about silly things like qualification, vision, and leadership.

If everyone has a college education....

Who will perform the non-college jobs, such as electrical, plumbing, etc?

Ideological loyalty is the act of giving your soul to a vague concept, to be manipulated by people smarter than you.

you would actually compare a high school education to a college degree? no public high school is the equivalent of college, no matter how hard you work to "work the system".

hope for america...

Even the wealthy leaders have to be smart. They may not have the tough and hard life you had but they are still infact smart. There are subsections though too.
Rich people who are not smart but can pay for tutors.....a poor person who needs help to study may not be able to pay for a tutor.

Education is the race and no, everybody is not allowed to join it. Just like how every runner is not allowed to join the olympics.
