| Market Anarchist Location: United States Posts: 650 | Nihilists are sad individuals who will never truly realize the beauty and significance of life, for as long as they continue with their subjective banter and pessismistic perspective. They do nothing but make excuses to say life is something that shouldn't be cherished. I pity the soul that does not realize the strength it harnesses within its mere mortal shell. Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito, qua tua te Fortuna sinet. |

They recognize humans as just an animal, and believe that humans should stop creating false ideas and morals, and instead submit to their animal instincts. They also believe all is relative. Some also believe that the ruling class creates all morals. |

If you all really believe in the above Philosophy. No of us existence. Even if we do, you can not know anything or communicate that fact. What goes 'up', must come 'down', unless it goes around and round. |

| Sedimentary Rock Posts: 5 | I wouldnt say it doesnt excist, because everything excists in our mind, and what else is there to judge. I think we create this world with our views and expectations. We expect something logical to happen in mass numbers so it logically does |

| Sedimentary Rock Posts: 5 | O Liberty, thou art the god of my idolatry! Liberty does not like bended knees. In Liberties vast and un-walled temple, beneath the roofless dome, star-gemmed and luminous with suns, believers stand erect! Believers of Liberty do not cringe, or crawl, or bend their foreheads to the earth. The dust has never borne the impress of their lips. Liberty does not ask mothers to sacrifice their babes, nor human kind their rights. Liberty does not ask of human kind for things that good folk hate -- the whip, the chain, the dungeon key. Liberty has no popes, no priests, who stand between their fellow men and Liberty. Liberty does not care about foolish forms, or selfish prayers. At Liberties sacred shrine hypocrisy does not bow, superstition's feeble tapers do not burn, virtue does not tremble, but reason holds aloft an inextinguishable torch whose holy light will one day flood the world. | Molten Ash Posts: 40 | I used to be a "nihilist," believing that nothing is true, exists, or has any value -- until I asked myself whether nihilism is true, exists or has any value as a theory. If it does, then it must be false; but if it doesn't, then it is also false and I can forget about it. Then I started to get a headache and decided to go back to my funny cigarette with the strange aroma and to enjoying my action movies and beer. |

| Cause for Concern Location: Planet Earth Posts: 664 | Alright ummm, I consider myself to be a nihilist, and I dont think life is valueless. I think nihilism opens your eyes into the REAL beauty of reality. Religious and those with morals and values very often overlook what is real, like science and such. I love to try to understand how the universe works and how things are. After you realize that we are just aomeba on the surface of a big planet then your eyes are opened to the truth a little more. My mind does flips when I try to visualize the universe in all its scales and weirdness. How there are universes within universes(ever wonder what an atom looks like?)How matter collects into spheres cause of electromagetism(?) or whatever(jupiter blows my mind, all that gas). I dont think human life is worthless or special or right or wrong, we just are, and if someone says they are a nihilist and that they hate people, well thats not cause of nihilism, its cause of other unrelated anger problems. Its just a cause and effect universe after all, faith is at your own risk and can you please quiet down im trying to jerk off. |
