technosoul,
That's only cuz you're not a red goat. [/b][/quote]

My read on this second most beautiful being in Heaven, is indeed as the Lone Liberal theorized. Let's not forget the power of these new t.v. shows, a.k.a. "Makeovers"

Don't you guys know the answer techno was close God is a red goat with horns like the devil but he has no gender or is both genders so hes either
a) hermaphroditic red horned goat or
b) a eunuch red horned goat.

Take your pick. :)

I wouldn't recommend sex, drugs and insanity for everyone, but its always worked for me.

Or he might simply be the completeness not attained by either gender or even by both together...

but one thing for sure, Sam,

he's the one with the lightning bolts, so you'll understand if Techno and I don't stand too close to you.

Why would God NEED a gender? Since he's eternal and all powerful, he doesn't have to reproduce, as far as we know, according to most of the "press" over the history of Faith. Why even with Jesus, he kind of went poof and impregnated Mary, didn't he? Or did they have an untold hot night in the sack? DAMN, that must have been a divine orgasm. Um, isn't that ADULTRY? Was Mrs. God waiting for him to sneak in late at night with a rolling pin in hand? ("Can't you EVER keep that all powerful thing inside your toga?" "I see your halo has fallen again." "Jehovah, before you take Adam's rib, come right back here and take out the bloody trash!" "It's your turn to do the dishes DEAR.")

I've always felt he/she/it is beyond a sex. Otherwise the whole super powerful Creator thing is garbage. Sex, for all it's power, limits those provided with it's pleasures and royal pains.

Pretty perceptive stuff, Ken. The birth of Christ as recorded in the Christian Bible does indeed take the road which makes the "Son of God" fully human, born of flesh (via the only flesh available for human birth) but with that part of its DNA which the woman can't supply provided by someone required to go through the biological process we call the sex act.

(BTW -- assuming here you have not been taken out by the same lightning bolts which certainly nailed Samildanach).

There's a Polish Polka entitled, "In Heaven, There Is No Beer", -- and I think the theme has something to do with not going there. Pretty sure, there's no sex there either. The good news is that pleasure, like creation (as in the conception of Christ), is not limited to earthbound frameworks, and that heaven is a place where God will share that with us.

It makes a lot of sense for a God who loves us and intends for us to share in eternity with him, and yet who puts us through this earthly life with its limitations and pains, would put himself through it too, to witness to us so we can hang in there. Within that earthly framework which he has created, he has given himself only two choices: male or female. So he takes one, male, for his earthly walk, but elevates the female to close to equality in the decision to conceive and entrusts her with his earthly nurturing. In that Christian version of Heavenly wisdom there is a strong indication that there is no superiority or inferiority, no dominant or submissive role, attached to either gender.

Works for me. Lookin' forward to the next place, but still enjoying my beer, etc., for now.

Perhaps God can choose whatever gender suits the moment... or none if that suits his/her/it's need.

Hope that's Porter, Stout, Barleywine or an IPA and not Bud. But if YOU enjoy... whatever. I just like to support what I consider "the good stuff."

I thought there was mention that God created Adam in an image of himself. Adam was a man, himself in reference to God makes God a man, no? Anywho, I see God as male.

Trouble is that no one sees Lucifer in his true form until it's too late.

In the pagan religion, the god resembles a big diamond in that it has many faces, both male and female.

This definitely looks like a good time for me and all members of the male persuasion to be taking cover.

Actually I believe God is our relationship with each other and has little or nothing to do with pants or skirts. Men and women are very much much alike. Only a handful of matter, rearranged makes us different. We are much more alike than seperate, though we like to think they are a different species at times. God is large enough to encompass the universe yet alternately small enough to fit comfortably in the molecular throne of our miniscule soul. On a quantum level, the point where an idea becomes matter Gods penis or vagina is not yet documented, as far as I know. Anyone care to speculate? Since God is shy, that is all we can do for now. Theorize. I would say 50/50 chance either way. But that doesnt allow for the odd chance that God is neither or both. If you go in for the whole Christian Triune-God thing, Jesus and God the Father together makes God at least 2/3 male. I have a problem with that, it seems absurd that men could kill God who has all power at his disposal. Christianity demands we accept an awful lot on faith. God has shown me con men and christians are very much alike. If christ is alive, I will believe all he needs to do is show up. If he is God that shouldnt be asking too much. I can wait. I dont like being conned. Who really cares if God is male or female, sex has its purpose for humans. Maybe nowhere else is it necessary.

But right afterwards he screamed, "What was I thinking? I need a botox injection!" Which of course explains why there's so many downright ugly people, both inside AND out...

Please keep in mind that this was written when the word "man" often referred to all humanity as in "mankind", "this history of man", etc..
The qoute above would have been appropriate regardless of gender.
