Why did man come down from heaven? To prove something? To learn? I'm interested on seeing what people say.

If you want my honest opinion, I believe that humans were meant to just be. To just live while the creator looks down and kind of studies us. Almost like a scientist and mice being studied in a rat cage.
Nice, I can't believe that the first post wasn't someone chewing my head off.

Because we're here.
Roll the bones.
The universe is not required to be in perfect harmony with human ambition. ~Carl Sagan
The rule is perfect: in all matters of opinion, our adversaries are insane.

That's sucha waste. Don't the angels already do that, why not just create more angels?
we exist to procreate and keep the human race alive

I'll play along with the god idea for a minute.
Taken as a whole the universe looks like a gigantic abstract art sculpture, so lets assume that's what it is. It has a lot of black contrasting with white, tenuous gases and empty voids contrasting with little flecks of superdense and superactive matter.
Its also built to such an ancient and inhuman scale that its dubious whether we're here as an intentional contrast element or something analogous to spurious microbes living on Mona Lisa's nose. The true scale of time and space goes a little beyond us merely not being as old as and at the very center of the universe; we aren't even sure where the center is because we can't see the edges of this three-dimensional sculpture we live in. We're organic ephemerae in a 13.7 billion year and counting play.
The more you complain, the less I care about your problems.
woah...thats deep...
dang, i forgot my line...We're organic ephemerae in a 13.7 billion year and counting play.

We are here because we evolved. We don't know why life evolved, but it did. The fact that "You" are here is nothing more than random copulation. Had another sperm interacted with the egg (or another egg), and "you" would not be "you", but another version of "you" would be here. Add to that the randomness of your parents (and their parents and their parents etc...) and you can realize that "you" being here is astronomically random.
Out of 13.7 billion years, you get to live roughly 75 of them (barring accidents, illness, etc...), a nano second on a comparative scale.
