Do you tell your boss that something he did was bad by saying "This fucking sucks, this is complete trash" or do you offer constructive criticism and a more positive approach to change what you think is trash. [i]"One objection that many critics have is the problem of logistics. However, with technologically advanced aircraft at His disposal, transportation for Jesus was NEVER a problem ---- loser |

Besides, what kind of parent do you think I am? If they make a choice to see things in a different way...it's their choice. ![]() Amused Location: Mid Atlantic Posts: 1,249 | Why should I have to repeat it over and over? It may be depressing for you? We live with it every day. We aren't depressed people. Don't assume we are. Perhaps I should start an "Ask an Atheist Widow" thread...we seem to have gone off topic. ![]() Erudite Location: England Posts: 133 | I've not a clue, however first you need to figure out if she's a traditionalist/literalist. Anmon, Atheists, as far as I'm concerned are similar to blind Theists in aty least one sense. They both deal in extremes of posibility. The only reason that people attack (I would say, rather, question) Christianity is because a lot of us are members of Western society, and as such it's most familiar to us. When it comes to children, I think that once they're old enough to understand, their answers to questions should not be definates, but possibilities for them to consider, and the differentiation should be made. Not to do so, is to restrict your child to your belief system until they're considerably older. When the time comes, that no more can be said, say no more. |

What do you live with every day? Your not dead, so how can you say you live with that nihilistic concept? I think your boys will sometime go the other way, and look for a more positive and rewarding after death concept.

![]() Moderator Location: Reading, UK. Posts: 6,800 | How about you stop derailing threads, Anmon? I've told you before - if you're not interested in the topic, don't post. If you want to make your own thread on attacks on Christianity, you are more than welcome to do so. In the meanwhile, stay on-topic.

And my point still stands. Christianity is the lifestyle of manipulation. Atheism isn't. Ty/Tyc/Tyke/Tycoon

![]() formerly Halofan48 Location: Southern California Posts: 1,619 | well, in Christianity, they'll often say "believe this or you'll go to hell!" or something along those lines in order to keep you from questioning them. In atheism, we can't threaten or entice with promises of happiness or torment for all eternity. Knowledge is power, use it well. As Halofan48 points out Christianity offers strong enticements and also strong warnings of divine retribution. Atheism doesn't do that. Ty/Tyc/Tyke/Tycoon
